To whom it may concern I am writing this recommendation regarding attorney Jane Cowles. I have been Ms. Cowles's client for a few months now. During this time I have found her to be a blessing in disguise. I originally went with a different attorney and a different law firm. I was extremely unhappy... with their performance. I was not treated like a person or a client. I felt I was just one of their manila files with dollar signs attached. Because of those frustrating circumstances, I sought out a new attorney. That's when I found Jane Cowles. Ms. Cowles never once made me feel pressured. Throughout the whole legal process, if I ever had a question, she was always accessible, as well as accommodating to my particular circumstances. I struggle with dyslexia, and Jane Cowles was still able to work with me seamlessly and tirelessly on every aspect of my case. Ms. Cowles even took the extra time to explain everything that I had a question about. She provided an overview of what I should expect of any good attorney handling my situation, but also she described specifically what she would do to accomplish our strategy. I say "our strategy" because Ms. Cowels emphasized that we would work together as a team to get the best outcome possible. I had a very complex case, and Ms cowels did everything in her power to fight tooth and nail for me. She always went the extra mile and well beyond her job description to help me. Jane Cowels made sure I was very well-informed during each step of the process. I have also worked with attorneys on various legal matters - civil, family, and otherwise. I have never been happier with an attorney's performance than I have been with Jane Cowels’s performance. The fact is, Ms. Cowels went the extra mile for me during my case and I feel confident, saying she will do the same for you. I tend to question everything, and Ms. Cowels was consistently patient with all of my questions. She never once patronized me or made me feel like any question was stupid, or that I was wasting her time. In fact, contrary to common law practice, she encourages you to ask questions. I absolutely recommend that you strongly consider Ms. Cowels as you research who you want as your advocate. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed!

I contacted Jane from abroad, where I currently live and work, regarding a matter in NYC. She went above and beyond such that I immediately felt that she was "in my corner." I did not at all get the sense that I was simply "another client." I was so impressed with her advice, demeanor, and obvious co...mpetence and professionalism that I will engage her on a completely different matter when I return. I highly recommend her. As an aside, I myself am an attorney; a graduate of an Ivy League. Jane is a jewel.

Though I had known Jane socially prior to the COVID-19 impact—which began for me late March, 2020 when my retail store was mandated closed, leaving me unemployed, without benefits, and barely any financial resources to draw from, compounded by unreasonable landlords threatening lawsuits from business... to home —I learned rather quickly what, professionally, Jane was made of: compassion, assertiveness, creativity, perseverance, solution-mindedness, focus, drama-free, advocacy, and looking always for an advantage, when I had, at the time, had never felt more disadvantaged. Jane kept the ‘chaos’ calm for me, no matter the situation. She leads with integrity, backed by experience, expertise, knowledge, an ability to communicate concisely, effectively, and respectfully, staying on-point to get the desired result, efficiently. Further, Jane has a way of making ‘legalese’ easy to understand, the process much less intimidating, all the while taking care of every detail. She has exceeded my expectations each time. I would highly recommend using Jane—she is, and will be, my go-to attorney/firm in the future.
