I am a Condo owner for 8 years at the Retreat at Carmel N.Y.
We are still under builders control and some common elements are past the builders warranty. Our HOA Board in which one the builders employees was President at the time. The board fail to fix and correct our plastic gutters. So we hired Steven and his Firm and we sued the HOA.As it turn out the Builder replaced our gutters as well as 36 other Condos wih the similar issues.
This all came to do with Steven's hard work, and his great follow up and Tenacious manner.
At the end we settled for the best including getting a 2 year warranty on these new replacement gutters.
I would highly recommend Steven and his firm.
As a side bar our HOA has Hired his firm as our Condo's Transition Attorney.

This review is FAR overdue—my apologies. Hence, I’ll “cut to the quick.” As an attorney myself (CA & NY) for over 35 years, I have a rather “high bar” to even consider retaining the services of an attorney or expert. Steven’s professional skills, honesty and ethical conduct far exceed that “bar.” I’ve been very impressed and pleasantly surprised by (a) the quality and cost of engaging Steven’s services; (b) the fact that Steven actually places the best interests of his client(s) first, as every fiduciary should; and (c) his demonstration of a sustained commitment to the Rules of Professional Conduct, without attempting to justify violations to gain a strategic advantage, respectively.
I do not suffer fools nor self-aggrandizing behavior and consider the practice of law an “honorable profession,” notwithstanding its ongoing assault by the sleazy tactics of many “so called” trial counsel. From my first trial in the early 80s to likely the last one pending, I’ve loved my job—helping those whose legal claims are meritorious and not motivated by greed, revenge or an ideology of “victimhood,” entitling the claimant to compensation per se (e.g., every injury is always the fault of someone else) . Although I’ve never specifically discussed this issue with Steven, my opinion is based upon facts over many years: I’ve never sensed the Rule of Law was less important than collecting a fee to Steven. Ergo, he is professional, knowledgeable and charges clients reasonable fees/costs.

Steve Waldinger was an attorney of mine. He handled a legal situation where I was dealing with a very difficult person and he was very effective. He also handled things in a very timely way and was very responsive to my questions.

Our management firm regularly hires several law firms to act on our clients' behalf on issues related to governance, enforcement, ADA compliance, collections, and other matters. Steven and his partners are our default firm because of their practical advice, generally suggesting non-litigious solutions rather than costly (and unpredictable) court actions.
The firm is thoughtful in their communication and mindful in their billing. They have provided services to our clients for over 20 years with excellent results.

I am dealing with a disagreement with a general contractor about how much is owed for services provided. Steve was kind enough this morning to spend some time reviewing my options. His advice provided me with a solid understanding of matters and how best to proceed.

I have had the pleasure of working with Steve for a good number of years now on landlord/tenant matters for the company I work for. Steve's acumen, and knowledge of landlord/tenant law has secured positive results for the company time and again. We are very confident in Steve's ability to handle all such matters for us.
Steve is professional, friendly, and courteous, and I have enjoyed working with him. We look forward to continuing our relationship with him for years to come.

I have had the opportunity to work with Steve Waldinger over the past six plus years. Steve is a knowledgeable professional who provided legal counsel to my office and our clients in the area of Property Management related to Condominiums and Homeowner Associations. Steve provided counsel to many of our properties related to delinquencies, foreclosures and residential disputes. Steve was very responsive and easy to communicate with in order to address these issues as best we could. Steve is aware of each client’s situation and provided creative recommendations in order to ease the financial drain on communities when dealing with the so called “zombie” units. I have also seen Steve give back to his community through mentoring projects at the local High School. It is a pleasure to work with Steve.

I have worked in property management with Steven as the attorney representing numerous Condominium and Homeowner Associations, for over 15 years. His ability to interpret By-Laws, and knowledge of actions to be taken is always spot on. His experience with contracts, homeowner negotiations, collections, foreclosures and litigation proceedings inspire confidence. I highly recommend Steve Waldinger as representation for Condomiums, Co-ops and Homeowner Associations due to his broad knowledge base in this area.

Steve successfully secured a higher settlement because of his knowledge and not giving up.
My husband has Alzheimer's and was in a car accident ....before the accident he enjoyed an active lifestyle; walking several times a week, riding a stationary bicycle, visiting his adult daycare center, enjoying movies, dancing with an Alzheimer's dance group, going out on various other social outings including dining outside of the home on a weekly basis.
All of this changed after the accident and his decline was significant. He is now fearful and believes he was shot in the arm by a woman at his adult daycare center when in fact it is the sound of the air bags going off. He has no recollection of the car accident. He has suffered greatly both physically, mentally and emotionally, enduring numerous hospital visits, and numerous doctor visits related to the accident.
10 months after the accident he is now in a nursing home - years faster than he should be because the accident propelled the disease forward.....the insurance company claimed they should not provide a significant settlement because this would have happened anyway...that is true .....BUT the fact is it happened extremely fast because of the accident.
The monies we received have allowed me to admit him to a nursing home and have the monies to pay for it......need I say more....

There's no substitute for competence and Mr. Waldinger has plenty to spare. He works very hard with his client to make sure that his or her claim is presented in the most favorable light. He can adjust to last minute rulings in a flash and do so with quiet certitude. But don't expect any "shinanagins" here. Mr. Waldinger is a true professional, skilled in his craft and true to it's highest standard.
