A very good outcome navigated by a very good lawyer.

We retained Steven to pursue an eviction after we purchased a house in foreclosure and the prior owner would not move out. I am an attorney but was too close to the matter and Steven came highly recommended for his landlord/tenant expertise. He was efficient, professional, available and compassiona...te. He treated my wife and I very well and treated the holdover tenant with respect while getting exactly what we were entitled to have; possession of the house with minimal delay and no wasted effort. I highly recommend him.

Very Strong firm and Lawyer

I am a Condo owner for 8 years at the Retreat at Carmel N.Y. We are still under builders control and some common elements are past the builders warranty. Our HOA Board in which one the builders employees was President at the time. The board fail to fix and correct our plastic gutters. So we hired Stev...en and his Firm and we sued the HOA.As it turn out the Builder replaced our gutters as well as 36 other Condos wih the similar issues. This all came to do with Steven's hard work, and his great follow up and Tenacious manner. At the end we settled for the best including getting a 2 year warranty on these new replacement gutters. I would highly recommend Steven and his firm. As a side bar our HOA has Hired his firm as our Condo's Transition Attorney.

An Attorney's Attorney

This review is FAR overdue—my apologies. Hence, I’ll “cut to the quick.” As an attorney myself (CA & NY) for over 35 years, I have a rather “high bar” to even consider retaining the services of an attorney or expert. Steven’s professional skills, honesty and ethical conduct far exceed that “bar.” ... I’ve been very impressed and pleasantly surprised by (a) the quality and cost of engaging Steven’s services; (b) the fact that Steven actually places the best interests of his client(s) first, as every fiduciary should; and (c) his demonstration of a sustained commitment to the Rules of Professional Conduct, without attempting to justify violations to gain a strategic advantage, respectively. I do not suffer fools nor self-aggrandizing behavior and consider the practice of law an “honorable profession,” notwithstanding its ongoing assault by the sleazy tactics of many “so called” trial counsel. From my first trial in the early 80s to likely the last one pending, I’ve loved my job—helping those whose legal claims are meritorious and not motivated by greed, revenge or an ideology of “victimhood,” entitling the claimant to compensation per se (e.g., every injury is always the fault of someone else) . Although I’ve never specifically discussed this issue with Steven, my opinion is based upon facts over many years: I’ve never sensed the Rule of Law was less important than collecting a fee to Steven. Ergo, he is professional, knowledgeable and charges clients reasonable fees/costs.

Highly Recommend

Steve Waldinger was an attorney of mine. He handled a legal situation where I was dealing with a very difficult person and he was very effective. He also handled things in a very timely way and was very responsive to my questions.

Balanced, Practical Advice

Our management firm regularly hires several law firms to act on our clients' behalf on issues related to governance, enforcement, ADA compliance, collections, and other matters. Steven and his partners are our default firm because of their practical advice, generally suggesting non-litigious solutio...ns rather than costly (and unpredictable) court actions. The firm is thoughtful in their communication and mindful in their billing. They have provided services to our clients for over 20 years with excellent results.
