dishonesty with fee.

After the case was dropped due to a death, Tim did not return the unused portion of the $ 5000.00 retainer. He wrote one letter and made a few phone calls. After many phone calls and emails and a promise to do so, he has yet to comply.

Quick response time, Fast acting, Positive results

We received a very confusing, non descriptive and unofficial cease and desist letter from our neighbor's lawyer due to issues and confrontations re: property damage and other neighbor type issues. Mr Tim Wedeen returned our phone call within 24 hrs, assessed our side of the situation, contacted their... lawyer and had our matter mediated that same day!! He was exactly what our family needed and exceeded our expectations making this experience less stressful for us. He has made such a great impression on us that we have decided to keep him as our lawyer for any future legal and contractual representation. We would highly recommend him to all our family, friends and colleagues.

Never Heard back from him

Contacted him about a lawsuit, didn't have a lot of funds so wanted to work out a payment plan. Long story short, never heard back from him again. Wouldn't recommend someone who is about money, not the person or their problems.

Mr. St. J's statement is completely untrue. I spoke with Mr. St. J regarding his situation, he was being sued in NY State Supreme Court for student loans. I then reviewed the complaint he had received, including exhibits. After that I called him a second time, and discussed the matter, including some possible defenses. I quoted him a very low fee, which unfortunately he could not afford. I advised him as to alternate actions he could take, even if he did not retain us. I did not charge him for these services. He then called me back several days later and asked about paying the reduced retainer fee over many months. I advised him that I would discuss it with my partner and would get back to him in a few days. Within 36 hours he started posting the same bad review.

Knowledgeable and Responsive

I'm a builder and Realtor who has utilized Tim's services on numerous deals. Tim is fabulous to work with, I'm usually fairly busy so finding an attorney who is responsive and can juggle multiple projects simultaneously is invaluable for me. If you're looking to do one real estate transaction or 30,... you will not be in better hands than Tim Wedeen. I highly recommend him for any real estate project.

Knows his stuff

Someone got hurt at my house, by someone that I did not invite during a party, so Wedeen was recommended by my company. After a couple of weeks of missed phone calls we were able to meet and discuss my situation. After about 20 minutes he told me to report it to my insurance home insurance co...mpany and they should cover it. He could have said to hire him and I would have. My only complaints are he can take a day or two to call back and his his New Jersey office is down a side street which my GPS didn't go straight to.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
