gave me a new contract one week prior to trial

the lawyer never filed the court for my costs. However he did put in for his own fees. he told me he was going to pad the bil, never recieved my money back for video tape and air fare given to lawyer. while i was required to pull exhibits, he did not have all the evidence in the office. While I was p...ulling the exhibits he was working on another case. Then, he had to leave the office for something to do with the other case. on a weekedn during the trial, he told me to meet his at his office. i waited for 3 hours and he never showed up. His clerk left my exhibits at the defendants lawyers and when they came back they were missing and mixed up. He was not prepared for the trial. He lost on my case on the district court level and wanted me to pay him to do an appeal. He should have objected to exhibits and refused to. During the trial he told me to revise an exhbit, which had in his possesion gor months. He was sanctioned by the court because he did not turn over material and told me to lie about it.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
