My business immigration practice serves a diverse range of corporate and individual clients in the sciences, healthcare, finance, business, social service and religious organizations, architecture, arts & design. I have served on a wide variety of committees for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), both locally in New York, the largest chapter, and for the national organization, including over a decade as moderator of the O & P visa message board on AILA InfoNet, a forum for immigration lawyers to share information on current legal issues & agency trends about visas for artists, performers, athletes, and other aliens of extraordinary ability. I have also moderated the AILA InfoNet forums on L and E visas. My longstanding pro bono service commitments include the Episcopal Diocese of New York and the CUNY Citizenship Now Volunteer Corps.
If you are an employer, I can help you get the right type of work visa or permanent residence for the foreign workers your organization needs to hire and retain, and can help plan for immigration consequences to your workforce of mergers, acquisitions and other changes to corporate structure.
If you are an individual, I can advise on which visa categories may be available to you, and can help obtain the right visa status for your needs, and help you plan long-term visa strategy to accommodate career & personal plans, which may involve visas, residence, & citizenship, for yourself and your family.
Because Avvo's limited menu does not allow me to provide this information in the Costs/Billing section, please note that employment-based, family-based, DV lottery, and citizenship matters are billed on a flat-fee basis. I do not set a case fee nor agree to take on a case without a detailed initial consultation to learn as much as possible about the fact pattern, the documentation available, and any legal or evidentiary hurdles that may affect case progress and likelihood of success. A consultation is not just a "meet and greet"; it's where legal options and case strategy are determined. My consultation fee is $500, due in advance of appointment. This covers one discussion of up to an hour, typically by Zoom or phone; my review of any supporting documents provided in PDF (but not immigration forms you have filled out & plan to file on your own); and one email within two weeks after for follow-up questions.
