Your own attorney can be your worst enemy. Attorneys get paid by the hour, so he or she can easily claim that they spent 20 hours on your case, when they actually only spent 6 hours, and there is no way to prove it. There are many money-hungry attorneys that will take advantage of you in your str...essful hour of need. I am very thankful to Joshua (this is why I am glad to take the time to write this) because with his help I was able to keep my apartment from my landlord. I felt I was in the hands of someone that tried to charge me as little as possible, while at the same time being quite thorough in his research and in gathering all the necessary evidence. Joshua Butnick served myself and my business partner in a breach of contract dispute that transpired over the past year and a half. He took ample time to listen to our side of the story before drafting responses. He was kind enough to show us each response before they were sent to the opposing party. As Mr. Butnick knew how to play the chess game that lawyers tend to play, the opposing party worked with us through Mr. Butnick instead of filing a lawsuit against us. When it came time to make hard decisions throughout the duration of the dispute, Mr. Butnick would generously make himself available at our convenience. He was always quick to analyze new information and convey it to us in a form that laymen could understand. He helped us evaluate our options from a legal and personal point of view while keeping our best interests in mind. Overall, Mr. Butnick is intelligent, kind and truly cares about his clients. Ultimately, because of Mr. Butnick, a lawsuit against myself and my business partner was successfully avoided.
