Lacks Professional Etiquette

I submitted a time sensitive legal inquiry through his law firm's web based client intake form. I also submitted my inquiry to the firms direct email address on 07/26/24 and also left a direct voice message for this attorney to follow up with me at his earliest convenience given the time sensiti...vity constraints involving my case, he failed to extend the professional courtesy and decency to return my call or reply to my legal inquiry left on three different platforms for him. If this is how he handles his cases, I would never hire him!

Josh represented me in Housing Court, as a tenant.

I searched for an attorney, here in New York City, for over a year. I finally found Josh Butnick thru a Legal Referral Service. The first time I met with him, I was immediately put at ease. Josh is professional, but also possesses the quality to be able to empathize with an individuals circumstanc...e. Once I retained him, I was pleased to discover, that he was always available for my questions. Whether it be by email or texting. He also responded to me in a timely manner. This is the first time in my life, I have ever retained an attorney to represent me. I'm a 55 year old man, and I have to admit that the process can be daunting. Josh made me feel comfortable immediately. Before a court appearance, he would point out possible scenarios of what might occur , and prepared me for each and every appearance. I always had the utmost confidence in his abilities, and his knowledge of the law. So much so, that I have referred several people to him, including a few of my patients.(I work in healthcare) If I ever encounter a situation, where I might need legal advice or help in the future, I will not hesitate to pick of the phone and call Josh.

Thorough, Kind and Helpful Lawyer

Josh Butnick is an exceptional lawyer. He helped me with all of my documents for purchasing my first home. I did not have a realtor, and neither did the seller. Josh was my trusted ally in a big stakes situation. He was persistent in obtaining documents that helped me understand the co-op building, a...nd responded immediately and carefully to all of my questions (even when I asked the same ones in different ways!). He even helped me out with some paperwork a year later. Additionally, he is a nice guy and I found his fees fair.

Amazing Service on a Lease Dispute

My son was listed as an occupant on a lease. He had prepaid his rent. His room mate's Mom was listed as the tenant. There was a falling out between the two boys. The Mom moved his room mate out of the apartment and was trying to evict my son from the apartment on 7 days notice. I thought there... would be room to have a rational discussion with the room mate's Mom and peacefully resolve the matter. She refused to communicate so I reached out to Josh for help. I am so grateful for the service that Josh was able to provide. He called me back very shortly after I left a message and spoke to me about this whole thing for about 20 minutes before I even hired him. Josh promptly pulled together a succinct but firm letter to the room mate's Mom. I believe this letter was pivotal in bringing her to the negotiating table, which took a tremendous amount of stress out of the whole situation for me and my son. She came to the table knowing this was all being handled in a serious manner and ended up bending over backwards to accommodate my request, which was simply to refund the prepaid rent and then I would gladly have my son vacate the unit. I think the reason she became so accommodating was because she didn't want to face any other legal repercussions and she knew I had Josh on my side to back it up. As far as I am concerned, the service provided by Josh was all I could ask for and more. I know that I will be reaching out to him again when it comes time to sign my son's next apartment lease.
