Joshua Adam Butnick

I submitted a time sensitive legal inquiry through his law firm's web based client intake form. I also submitted my inquiry to the firms direct email address on 07/26/24 and also left a direct voice message for this attorney to follow up with me at his earliest convenience given the time sensiti...vity constraints involving my case, he failed to extend the professional courtesy and decency to return my call or reply to my legal inquiry left on three different platforms for him. If this is how he handles his cases, I would never hire him!

Josh Butnick is an exceptional lawyer. He helped me with all of my documents for purchasing my first home. I did not have a realtor, and neither did the seller. Josh was my trusted ally in a big stakes situation. He was persistent in obtaining documents that helped me understand the co-op building, a...nd responded immediately and carefully to all of my questions (even when I asked the same ones in different ways!). He even helped me out with some paperwork a year later. Additionally, he is a nice guy and I found his fees fair.

Joshua represented me on a civil matter, and achieved a very desirable outcome. He is a great communicator, is responsive, and pleasure to deal with. I found his knowledge of the law and zest for doing additional research excellent. Furthermore, he is very high-tech in his administration of his offic...e, which helps him really stay on top of things.

Mr. Butnick entered the picture when communication broke down between the landlord and myself. He took a seemingly impossible situation to their attorneys and created new dialogue and opportunity which didn't exist previous to his retention. He knew his business thoroughly, didn't exaggerate our odds..., and was honest, persistent and professional. Josh secured a favorable outcome within my means which was better than the situation warranted. I never would have been able to have a good result without his considerable experience.

We could not have wished for a more competent, reliable, caring and intelligent attorney. Mr. Butnick navigated with us a complicated eviction procedure. He took the time to really get to know our situation, develop strategies and cover every possible angle. He prepared us and himself thoroughly for ...depositions, testimonies, motions and trial. We felt he was available, punctual and prepared. When we freaked out (because living with an eviction procedure is stressful) his calm demeanor and knowledge of our case was reassuring. He understand NYC housing courts and knows the judges and knows how to work with them. Also, we felt he was trustworthy in the sense that he was fair and accurate when it comes to billing. There was never any overcharging or even worry about overcharging. We got the sense that he likes being a good attorney and likes to dig into a case, at times (when we weren't freaking out) it became even sort of fun to think together with him about ways to counter the holdover claim of my landlord. All by all, we could not have asked for a better attorney experience.
