I am from out of state and had to retain a lawyer in NYC. Along with local counsel we carefully sifted through potential candidates and after some phone conversations decided to hire Michael. In August of 2013 I hired Michael Discioarro to handle my case after doing a search for best criminal lawyers in NYC. His name was at the top of the search, I had never been in trouble before and had no experience on what I should be charged for my type of case, or what I should be looking for in a l...awyer. After looking at Michael's website and reading basically the mission statement from his firm I decided to contact him for an appointment. From the beginning Michael was very accommodating and I felt right at ease when I first met him. I knew immediately I wanted him to be my lawyer. I was facing 2 pretty big felonies that I had no intent or knowledge of doing (basically I was set up) Michael didn't know me and I was unsure of how he would be able to prove my innocence but he kept telling me everything would be ok and I would be able to walk away with no criminal record. I was so nervous but I put all my trust in him and God, he was able to get me a meeting with the A.D.A to hear what I had to say. On 10-24-13 all criminal charges were dropped against me and I plead guilty to Disorderly Conduct (which is a violation) and paid a fine. I am eternally grateful for his work because my lively hood was at stake, 25 with 2 felonies I wouldn't have been able to do anything with my life, but Michael made good on his word and was able to help me get a second chance in this lifetime after facing such dire charges, on top of that he was pretty fair in pricing. Michael S. Discioarro is an excellent attorney. I was wrongfully arrested for an alleged DWI in NYC. I went to several other attorneys before finding Michael, not only did the other attorneys try to over charge me but wanted me to accept an unfavorable plea deal that would result in a criminal record... and significant fines. However, Michael believe in my innocence, was available at all times to answer my questions, and zealously fought to defend my rights and prove my innocents. In sum, against adverse odds, Michael was able to get the DWI misdemeanor charge alleged against me, reduced to a favorable simple traffic violation with no criminal record. Needless to say, I was very pleased with Michael's services.
