Incompetent

This attorney is by far the most incompetent that I have ever dealt with. I was told my settlement check was ready and avail as of Monday. I was told once I sign the release form I can pick up the check which I have a text message verbatim. It’s now Friday I have went to one of the office locations n...ow three times and still have not received my check. The location in Garden City whom ever he shares the space with has attempted to make a false claim saying I was aggressive and irate causing problems in the place of business. They said they would contact police so I contacted the police for them. A very nice female from the office next to theirs came out to inform the police officer that in fact I was not causing any problems at all and she heard the entire dialogue amongst me and whom ever they have answering the phone by the name of April and efrain I believe the names are. The lady from the suite next to theirs informed the officers that I simply was informing them that they have wasted my time numerous times there is no direct contact and no answer that has been given to me was solidified. At this point it is a lack of culture amongst this business and I would not suggest them to anyone. I visit the 26 Broadway location as well and was thanked from the person at the front desk for not going off where as he has informed me for the past three to four years he deals with numerous of their clients going off because of the same situation.

Cannot Recommend!

Stay away from this law firm. This firm "represented" me in a landlord/tenant dispute where I was the victim of identity theft. This went on for four years where this law firm was supposed to settle the case on my behalf. However I was assigned a different lawyer about every other 6 months until they... stopped responding entirely. Then when I got a hold of them they asked for more money as my retainer had been depleted (how? I am not sure). Therefore I decided to represent myself, it took another 3 months and multiple emails to get them to recuse themselves from the case. Thereafter I went to the settlement conference representing myself and was able to settle that day. The opposing council as well as the court appointed mediator both informed me that they were never properly informed by my "attorneys" about the case and never presented any of the evidence. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!

i would be quite skeptical of the ecstatic reviews, is a real misadventure that I have hired Lebedin: what I have encountered is a mixture of incompetence and irresponsibility; not only he was totally unprofessional in front of the judge and lost the case (which can happen to any attorney), but disp...lay utter disregard to my case notifying me two days before the court date that he did not schedule this court date and he would not be representing me, I should just be showing up myself (later called to tell me he consulted with "someone" and would show up; I think the only reason he was concerned about malpractice; his "representation" was useless anyway); the marshal office was more accommodating that Lebedin who would not return call and not care after being paid, I called his partner who informed me that I do not pose special interest to the office because I have not paid them 25K (sic!) in deposit; stay away from this attorney

Just a run around to take your money

I hired Arthur thinking that his reviews have anything to do with his performance. Truth is, debt settlement lawyers are just textbook lawyers with no actual skill on their hands except pretending to negotiate. There is a rule in debt settlement and its widely known that you can negotiate your debt t...o near 70% of what its worth. Its not a skill its just a known industry practice. Only reason you hire one of these lawyers is just to get this common practice brokered. My problem with Arthur is that I had told him my specific issue when I hired him. He pretended to listen and act as though he would be able to protect me but instead he by-passed all the important details of my situation. Instead he thought my case was just like any others and treated it as such. He took $2,000 from me and got me 0 results except that I owed the plaintiffs attorney another $500 for his fees because of Arthurs laxed response tactics. So actually he cost me $2,500 and I literally got nowhere with him. I thought he was going to tailor my specific situation and negotiate using the information I provided him before I retained him. And even if we weren't going to be successful I would expect he would have another strategy up his sleeve. Instead he just told me that I didn't have to pay the debt without taking into consideration that I have assets and no debt other than this specific case. He didn't listen. He thought I was just another one of his debt burdened clients. His office is full of paralegals who are like robots and don't have any practical solutions when you need someone to talk to. I was severely disappointed hiring Arthur and do not recommend anyone who has anything other than some credit card debt and no assets to use his general services. Anyone could have done what he did. Nothing special in my opinion. Dime a dozen is what we refer to people like him.

unavailable, terrible service, rude, unprepared.

I would NOT recommend this firm. Dealt with Arthur Lebedin and Stephannie Miranda during my case. Both acted as though my calls, questions, and concerns were a nuisance. Get used to talking to answering service rep. After my legal fees were paid their communications deteriorated. I had to constantly ...contact them about updates. I requested TIMELY updates. Instead, I received notifications of important matters at the last minute, despite Lebedin's office having had received notice or communication from the court or opposing counsel weeks earlier. Everything was last minute. Client preparation was conducted in courtroom hallway, on the day-of appearance. Very glib handling of my case, and lackadaisical effort. Did I feel as though I received good service or legal advice? No! I suggest you hire a more experienced n established law firm, that is "truly" client-centered and knowledgeable about consumer debt case law. And, has "verifiable" trial experience defending clients against creditors. Or, save yourself additional stress and expense- go to court and negotiate your own debt settlement- you may get a Better result! If you hire a lawyer remember to ask for proof of Malpractice Ins. coverage. Some small "firms" do not carry coverage. Good luck...I pray you find a good attorney.
