You should not place your future in his hands

Disclaimer: I am writing on behalf of my wife who used Oliver for her employment-based Green Card. The opinions expressed hereafter have been approved by her. I strongly discourage anyone from hiring Oliver. His services took thousands in costs, 18 aggravating months, and in the end, bought me no ...closer to my goal. My employer contracted Oliver for my employment-based Green Card in June 2017. We enquired about the expected timeline right after the signing of the contract… to which he responded with the need to first find the prevailing wage for my position. This was expected to take until October 2017, after which he said he would start the perm filing process. We trusted him to work on my case at a reasonable pace, basically giving him the benefit of the doubt as a legal professional. My employer and I were admittedly not proactive over my case during the following months. Neither, apparently, was he. Not once did he communicate with us after the contract signing. It was only in April 2018, after my inquiry, that he replied with a small invoice for an employment advertisement he posted. He also never filed for the perm. Perhaps policies were changing from the Trump administration; he needed more time to get his process in order. So, he indicated that he would need another three months to file (now around July 2018). When July 2018 came around, rather than results, he delivered another request for a three-month extension. During all this time, we never received proper updates. We did not even get detailed explanations for these delays. Oliver promised to move immediately to file after more intense pressure from my employer. It was only after weekly, and then daily prodding from me, that we finally arranged for a new employment advertisement in September 2018. It was as if he had zero initiative unless we contacted him. And regarding our communications, he was sparse with the details when he deigned to respond. More likely, my email and calls would go unanswered for days on end. I essentially gave up on this process late 2018. After the employment advertisement in September 2018, Oliver never again initiated contact with me. As far as I know, nothing else had been done for my case by the time I left my employer in January 2019. 18 fruitless months we spent with Oliver. My main issue was not so much the constant delays. There may, after all, have been legitimate reasons for them in the context of the procedural uncertainty left by the new administration. What was unconscionable was his utter lack of consideration for his client. Missing self-imposed timelines and then ignoring my questions only left me a profound sense of insecurity. Unlike good lawyers, he never made himself my advocate. The lack of any tangible results speaks for itself. Other reviews have praised his work. I have no reason to doubt those reviews, and from the documentation he has forwarded, I can sense a high degree of competence. He might even be excellent at navigating arcane immigration regulations. But what good is that ability when you have a more common case? When he has seemingly zero interest to direct that ability to your cause? Maybe he took on too many clients to manage. Or my pedestrian case did not pique his intellectual interest. Whatever the case, it doesn’t speak well for him. The outcome for your case, common or not, carries life-altering consequences. Don’t entrust it to a lawyer who seems indifferent to your cause. Don’t make my mistake.

Best immigration lawyer| | Deeply cares for clients

In my eyes, Oliver is the best immigration lawyer. I was an international student and just graduated and worked. Working with Oliver was also the first time I have hired a lawyer and this experience has become so impressive. I've felt really desperate when I ran into a trouble of my F-1 status be...ing closed unexpectedly and I became "out-of-status". It was a mistake made by the company I used to work for. I was about to work in a new company but suddenly I lost the working eligibility and even had to exit US and go back to my home country for ever. I called several lawyers in the first place and they didn't take my questions seriously and didn't listen to me either and they insisted me to pay them before they could analyze my case. I was really desperate until one of my friends recommended Oliver to me and that friend has been helped out by Oliver too. I called Oliver and he listened to me really carefully and gave me some reasonable suggestions right away, which made me feel he really cared for me and wanted to help me. Then I decided to hire him and he did a very good job representing me. For example, he talked to my old company and his words were powerful that the old company admitted that it was their mistake and they would like to compensate me. He was knowledgeable in terms of related immigration laws and the conversation between my old company and him really proved his competency. Also he cared for my situations and wanted to get me the result I need and want most. I therefore trusted him from the deep of my heart since I saw his ability, hardworking attitude and knowledge. In the end I've got the compensation from the old company and with the help of Oliver, now I work in my new company with a valid working status. It was the best result I could have. I really appreciated Oliver and would like to recommend him to anyone in trouble related to immigration laws like me. I owed Oliver a lot more thanks and I really wanted him to be known to many more people who need his help.
