STAY AWAY!

I used Alison for the sake of my house based on my realtor's recommendation (big mistake - research your own people), and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I've dealt with attorneys before - for real estate transactions, wills, divorce - and Alison is BY FAR the worst I've ever encounte...red. The negative reviews are all true. It takes forever to get a response from her, so you constantly have to chase her down with emails and phone calls. She ended up being of if the office for a week and didn't mention it to me. After inquiring 500 times about the inspection report, another attorney in the office logged into her email and saw it had been sitting in her inbox for days, but she didn't have anyone in charge of my case in her absence! Completely negligent. When you finally do hear back from Alison, she acts like she couldn't care less about you. She is abrasive, short, and downright rude. She's also lazy. She offers no guidance, advise, or strategy, so don't expect much in that regard. She's not a critical thinker. She will merely transfer PDF documents and send you 2-sentence emails. At points, she seemed mentally impaired. I received a few incoherent emails where she used all-caps on random words, called me the "buyer" ( I was the seller), and threw in a series of random exclamation points, which made me nervous something was wrong. It looked like a ransom note written by a drunk person. I had to reply back saying I don't know what your email means, and someone else in the office had to do damage control and explain what she meant. I was embarrassed for her. It's true that Alison will never proactively keep you informed. I had to send a ton of emails and CC multiple people to get a response. She's a glorified courier device. When I called her out on this, she got really flustered and told me, "I'll just move your case to someone else, I'm not getting paid anyway." I asked what that meant, and apparently the fee she charges doesn't directly end up in her pocket since they're part of a larger practice, which explains her poor work ethic. Alison bungled the process and made an already stressful situation unnecessarily difficult. Her apathy infuriated me. So much so, that during closing, she actually got loud with me in front of my 6-year-old daughter. Apparently, the fact that I had a lot of questions before I was willing to sign the paperwork annoyed her. I told her it was her job to answer questions. She continued with her belligerent attitude and I finally asked her to excuse herself from my case, because I wanted another attorney in the office to do my closing instead.

BEWARE!

I am online wondirng if I could sue this Kosberg and her team for mal practice. Her team would respond to you after a day or two but never her. When she finally responded days later, she seemed disinterested and not supportive. I told her I was a 1st time home owner and would need her to be attentive.... This did not happen. I actually called and said I didnt want to take the house afterall and she actually said to me 'but what about the realtors'?! WTH? Who does she work for? I wanted additional monies off a house with a long laundry list of issues found by the inspection and her office told me that the seller would not go for it and that I couldnt ask for more! She potentially costs me thousands! Stay away.

stay away

I want to admit first: I was naive and stupid. Learned my lesson! I think I paid hefty price though. Got her name through my realtor(you shall NEVER do that). It is my first house purchase so you know why. I am buying a really old house. I like the style of the house but my inspector found a lot of... issues. I was hoping to negotiate some money back for the extensive repair/replacement I am expecting to do in the very near future:very old windows, cracked roofing pieces, almost dead water heater/a/c unit, garage door repair/roof replacement etc. The attorney didn't make any real effort to help me negotiate. very slow response to my calls/concerns. In more than 1 occasion, it took more than 2 days to hear back from her. When I got the response of the sellers via my realtor, I called the attorney's office and they didn't even know the response had arrived! I closed on the house but I am not happy about the whole experience. Had I hired a decent lawyer, I believe I would have got AT LEAST $5000-7000 credit(those repairs are very expensive). I see there are some positive reviews out there. Maybe she used to be more client focused. I can only speak for my own experience. I wouldn't recommend her to anybody.

I would not recommend this attorney to anyone.

I would not recommend this attorney to anyone. I hired this attorney for my real-estate needs. Whole process was very difficult. She never replies the emails. She was very laid back and never kept me informed about my case until I called her office or sent her numerous emails. She didn’t reply. Once ...I called her office, always said she is busy. The person take of her office business are not professional. It takes so long time to review the contract and get the response. Once something happened she does not even try to protect her clients. She was not even put any efforts to save clients deal with the seller. She did the little work and request for whole payment. Finally I had to cancel the deal with spending so much money in loan and other activities, her office done nothing to protect the clients. On overall, a very poor experience.

Real Estate Client

The services offered by this attorneys office is absolutely ridiculous, with no level of ethics of professionalism. I hired this attorney for my real-estate needs and explained to her well in advance that I will require hand holding as I am a first time home buyer. The attorney did nothing to offer h...er service and was very non-responsive and never came on the phone when called at her office. Also, she does nothing to fight for or protect her clients rather her office advises verbally that the seller will not do this or that. Please avoid this lawyer by all means as she is really goo for nothing. She was also very laid back and never kept me informed about my case until I called her office or sent her numerous emails through out the day. She also did not coordinate with my lender properly and failed to send documents required in a timely manner. Overall, a very poor experience.
