Shari was recommended to me by a former business partner when I was researching divorce lawyers. During my initial conversation with Shari I became very comfortable and confident with her based on her willingness to listen to my very unusual situation as well as her straight forward and honest assess...ment of my probable outcome. Before actually deciding to retain her, I was given the name of another prominent lawyer in the area by a relative of mine. During the conversation with that lawyer he communicated to me that he no longer was handling divorces cases and was currently handling divorce mediation only. I interviewed quite a few attorneys and most of them were attack minded and just wanted to go on all out attack to fight everything whatever it takes. They did not care that the woman I was divorcing was not my enemy, and she is the mother of my daughter. They did not listen and just wanted the divor...ce process to be on all out war. Shari Veisblatt is the real MVP! When I say with ease Shari had my alimony stopped is a mild understatement! I knew my ex was living with someone and per our divorce settlement that was one of the reasons my alimony would ever cease. I had to prove it and we did and Shari got my ex to agree and e...nd the alimony abruptly. To make you understand better, my ex tried to get everything from me during the divorce and damn there succeeded, fought me for two years on everything and was extremely pig headed and wouldn’t stop taking me back to court until she got what she wanted. Shari not only got my alimony to cease immediately she even got things taken care of that never were during the divorce that should’ve been handled by my previous attorney. I hired Shari Veisblatt in May to help me with Post Divorce Alimony issues. My ex husband attempted to drastically reduce, or terminate my Alimony after less of a year after having the Divorce granted.. My original Divorce lawyer was horrible, and unprofessional. He didn't protect my Alimony length o...f time receiving it, or the amount I was to receive, by putting in grey language that my ex decided to use to eliminate my Alimony. He also didn't seem to care about me as a person, and only cared about billable hours, and never listened to my concerns, or really advised me in making the correct decisions on future needs. Shari and I worked as a team, along with another lawyer in her firm Jennifer Iseman. Together we built a solid case that made my ex's case appear flimsy and ridiculous to the two judges who reviewed the court motions, and mediated the terms of the post divorce. The judge in the court appeared to be strongly against the motion to terminate my Alimony after being in a 40 year marriage less than a year since the divorce was granted. He told me, I was poorly represented during my divorce proceedings, and never should have been back in court so soon. Shari was the total opposite of my past experience. The end result was for me to get continued Alimony for the time my ex continues to work, without him being able to bring me back to court again. I highly, and with all my heart recommend Shari Veisblatt and her firm. She is smart, professional, and truly empathetic to her clients needs. If only I had hired her during my difficult divorce process. I would never had had to go back to court, and many other positive things would have gone in my favor. Shari wants to protect her clients.
