This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
An admonition means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar gives the lawyer an admonition in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
Mitchell’s comment: “This admonition was a result of my contacting a witness of the opposing party via email because he was threatening my client. It turns out the witness was represented and I should have emailed the attorney not the witness”

When you talk to him on the phone he'll tell you exactly what you want to hear however once you hire him for family law matters that all changes. The drafts for the certification and motion will have numerous mistakes and inaccuracies, after you review it and inform them of all the mistakes and inaccuracies they'll fix them, charge you for their mistakes and inaccuracies then file a motion and certification with different mistakes and inaccuracies. If you ask him to get this or that information from the other parent he'll say what for it's not needed they'll have to provide it in court guess it doesn't make sense to have as much information as possible before court. According to the billing he's the one that did all of the drafts, filed motions and certifications. The wording and specific dates he included actually hurt certain parts of the motion, that's not only my opinion but it was verified by quite a few other Lawyers. Perhaps he couldn't see a lot of $$$ signs with my case and therefore decided not to work as hard. Naturally each case is different but when you hire an Attorney they're supposed to work as hard as they can for their client not just whatever is quickest and easiest.

Mitchell has represented my post-divorce case for several years. He has gotten me favorable outcomes by reducing my child support and eliminating my alimony when my ex-wife fought each every time. He is straight to the point and i found him an excellent orator in court.
I wish i would have hired him before my divorce.

I was referred by a family friend to Mr. Mullen for a pending custody issue. He and his staff were extremely professional in helping me with my case as we were able to come to a quick resolution. Would highly recommend!

I endorse this lawyer. Mitch is an excellent attorney with extensive experience in the area of family law. He is a great advocate for his clients while continuing to be respectful towards his adversary. He understands the overall benefit to achieving settlement as an alternative to costly litigation. He and his staff are excellent at communications and responding in a timely manner. Whenever I have a conflict I think of Mitch first for my referral.
