I wish I had hired Bud from the very start of my divorce! My prior attorney was doing absolutely nothing for me. Divorce was never in my plan. I never wanted it for sure. And then I found myself facing one. I will admit that with all the attorneys I deal with, I fumbled trying to navigate the trauma of that reality and the very real need for good representation. By circumstance I fell into Bud Murphy's offi...ce. Stunned by divorce, making no progress, bleeding cash, hearing I am on the losing end largely because I am dad and I work (my words), and frustrated explaining details of my life and business to people who weren't listening, I felt my case was careening out of control and headed to a very bad outcome. Enter Bud Murhpy. I barely noticed him coming up the curve. He invested real time understanding what I needed to accomplish for my children and for myself, what my priorities were in the case, and the strategy of opposing counsel. He developed a clear view of what our desired outcome was, and he engaged in series of tactics with opposing counsel, the mediator, the forensic accountant, and, frankly, with me to get me as close to there as he could. He worked (hard) this deal. He never lost sight of everything he's seen go horribly wrong with his clients and their children. And he worked the other parties aggressively to ensure that didn't happen here. He never left me thinking we were good when we were not - and gave up ground only when winning was a worse outcome for my kids and I than losing. Honestly you are better off throwing your money away than hiring this poor excuse for an attorney. He never even bothered to open any paperwork regarding our case until the day of. He proceeded to be argumentative and blamed me for not giving him all the info!! I couldn’t believe it. If he had opened... up the file for even a second maybe we would have been prepared. I honestly ended up worse after hiring him than after. He had no problem taking my money in the beginning. After we lost horribly he then said we would much more money and time and it we would come back and refile. Yea right! I would rather hire a bum off the street to represent me. I should have known when they referred to him as “Bud”. No one in the court took him seriously and the nickname alone told me he was better suited as a dive bar attendant. DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.
