This thank you note is long overdue. This past Christmas holidays while spending one night at home with 2 of my children, I began to recount to them details about my financial journey in the last 5 years. I shared this life episode with my children, as I was lucky now to see them making successful strides and forging ahead in their professional careers after completing their university degrees. Our bank refused to recast our home loan to the lower interest rate. They put us into foreclosure. I went to see Mr. Tanne when I was at a low point in my life. I had lost my job and 3/4 of my income several months earlier and was now on the verge of losing my home.
