For more than four decades, Michael L. Detzky has delivered personalized legal representation in consumer and business bankruptcy, immigration and naturalization, and real estate matters. He spent over 15 years on the private panel of Chapter 7 trustees for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey, and has lectured for the U.S. Navy, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Monmouth County Bar Association, sharing his deep knowledge of bankruptcy and immigration law.
A Rutgers College graduate (Highest Honors, Phi Beta Kappa, 1975) and Rutgers Law School alumnus (1978), Detzky applies the Navy’s core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment from his 30-year Reserve JAG career, retiring as a captain in 2013. Admitted to state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York, the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Criminal Appeals for the Armed Forces, he has published on bankruptcy strategy and appears regularly as a FOX News legal commentator.
