Mr. Clark, an experienced criminal defense attorney, launched his legal career in 1995 in the Appellate section of the Prosecutor's Office. Transitioning to the Family section (Juvenile crime/Domestic violence) in 1996, he handled a diverse array of juvenile cases, spanning drug charges to first-degree Armed Robberies and Aggravated Sexual Assaults.
As a Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor for over 12 years, Clark managed a caseload that included domestic violence restraining order violations and related weapons forfeiture cases. His 2003 promotion to the Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit marked his prosecution of serious offenses like Aggravated Sexual Assault and Attempted Child Luring.
Assuming the role of Director of the Asbury Park Satellite Office in 2006, Mr. Clark oversaw indictable cases, provided legal advice to the police department, and supervised major crimes investigations, including those related to gang-related homicides. Departing the Prosecutor's Office in 2007, he established his criminal defense law firm, earning recognition as a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney in 2009.
With extensive trial experience, comprising over 70 felony jury trials covering Murder and Aggravated Sexual Assault cases, Mr. Clark excels in negotiating favorable resolutions or vigorously defending clients' rights at trial. His thorough understanding of legal issues and a proven track record make him a valuable asset for clients seeking a robust defense across nearly every county in New Jersey.

Charlie is very competent, professional, focused and caring. He knew the law and used his knowledge to educate me, a person that is naively honest and a person that never experienced any legal issues was in great fear. He is a proactive, straight-shooter, optimistic attorney. His knowledge kept me...
"I endorse this lawyer. I have worked with Charlie for years on co-defendant matters. He is extremely well prepared and works hard for his clients."
"Charles and I handled a case where he represented the wife and I represented the husband. From what I witnessed, he kept his client well informed, was punctual and was prepared."
"I recently watched Charles in action in a highly contentious and emotional trial. He did an excellent job. I was especially impressed with his measured trial techniques, timely objections and professional demeanor. He had a superior grasp of all of the factual and legal aspects of the case and certainly served his client well under trying circumstances. You would be well served with him as your criminal defense counsel."
"Charlie and I had codefendants in a CDS case in Monmouth County. His command of the law and trial skills were impressive. He is wonderful at cross-examining witnesses and I learned a lot from watching him."
