I spoke with six other attorneys before I found Jef. All six told me that my money was gone and that the guy who ripped me off would get off scott free. They told me that my case wasn't worth taking because the amount of money involved (just under $10,000) wasn't enough to justify their fees. Jef ...took my case for a nominal fee assuming that this crooked businessman would give me my money back or ship the expensive item to me once he received a threatening letter, but neither of us realized just how reckless and sleazy this cat actually was at the time. That was one and a half years ago. My case has finally been put to rest in a criminal court. The sleazy business man pled guilty to three counts of theft by deception and is either going to pay me in full or serve jail time, all due to Jef Henninger's fine work. Damn it feels good! Not only did Jef go FAR above and beyond the call of duty for me, he maintained integrity and was honest with me every step of the way. I still can't believe how lucky I was to find Jef and to hire him for this case. For anyone reading this review to fully understand how much I appreciate this man and his firm, just imagine taking out a loan for almost ten grand only to find out that the item never ships. You're promised a full refund, but all you receive is lies. Next consider how you would feel after six different lawyers told you that your situation isn't worth their time, or anyone's time. Imagine going to the police and hearing them tell you that the district attorney won't prosecute because the amount of money isn't large enough. Envision yourself bringing your conclusive evidence of wrongdoing to the district attorney's office but being told that your case isn't big enough to prosecute criminally. How angry would you get each time you had to make a payment on that loan? I literally gnashed my teeth every month. Finally, imagine Jef getting justice for you and forcing the bastard to pay you or serve jail time. That's why I'm here, taking time to write this review. That's why Jef is an amazing attorney. It's why I can confidently say that he cares about justice.

If you are ever in the unfortanate situation of having DYFS get involved in your life, I highly recommend Jef. He answered his phone on a Saturday night when I desperately needed someone. I hired Mr. Henninger to represent me in a firearm's confiscation case. I met with him personally at his office and explained the issue. I paid his retainer, sent him all the information for which he asked and I was promptly forgotten. I was turned over to one of his Associates, I made contact with t...he new Attorney twice before I was told he was no longer with the firm. I was assigned a new Attorney at that point. I made contact with the new Attorney several times via telephone. I was told he had contacted the Middelsex County Prosecutor regarding my case and that he was awaiting a response from her. This went on for several months during which I was told by the Attorney to call him every two weeks for updates. I called him as HE had requested. He spoke with me three or four times, always with the same excuse that he was still waiting for a response from the Prosecutors office. Eventually, he stopped returning my calls. SO I called the office. The office person told me that he was in court, but she would give him my message and he would call me back. This occurred for about three weeks with no return calls. I finally found a new Attorney who was able to help me get back my property in less than 3 months. My advice is to stay away from Mr. Henninger and associates. I never even received an accounting from his office as to how the retainer was spent.
