Mr. Mirne is a highly respected attorney who has a wildly successful eviction rate if you are trying to evict tricky and lying tenants. My case was an owner-occupied property holdover case in which the unit needs mass repair. For a very fair fee payment process, we applied to Essex County Court for an emergency hearing, in which throughout the process, his paralegal Melissa was extremely pleasant and answered all questions with class during the stressful matter. We won our case and now I am applying for two separate lawsuits for recovery of rent and other attorney fees.
Pros:
An outstanding attorney with advance knowledge of NJ Landlord Tenant Law and statutes
Very Professional and caring staff
Intimidating and diplomatic presence in the courtroom
Aggressive and Tactful legal mind
Affordable pricing and payment schedule (could be anywhere from $500-2500 for his services depending on what you need done)
Cons:
Due to his high success rate, has a lot of clientele and can take some time to get back to you in a timely manner (when you are the best, you have it like that)
My case was in Essex County, in an Emergency matter, but it was held virtually, since Essex County will go back to in-person trial, it is very unlikely that he will take a case outside of Middlesex, Ocean, Monmouth, or Mercer County. But it is worth a try.
Overall, this lawyer is well worth the money, time and services. Trust and believe, that no tenant wants a letter from Michael D. Mirne in the state. Accordingly, you can feel confident that his firm will get you the best results possible, and more than likely you can expect an eviction, a lockout, and a judgment for possession of your property.
Michael was quick to return my call, had excellent knowledge of the real estate area where I was seeking advice and overall was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The firm handles residential and commercial evictions throughout central and northern New Jersey. We are experienced at handling complex tenancy issues including rent increases and evictions based upon lease violations. In 2010, Mr. Mirne taught the New Jersey State Bar Association's course on Landlord Tenant law. We also handle collections and other civil actions involving post-tenancy related issues.
Our firm has obtained property tax reductions for over 80% of our tax appeal clients. We have saved our clients in excess of $20 Million in property tax assessments. Mr. Mrine is one of a few attorneys also certified by the State of New Jersey as a Tax Assessor.
Our litigation practice is mostly limited to issues involving landlords and tenants after the tenants have already been evicted. We handle collections, and defense of suits by former tenants. The balance of our litigation practice focusses on construction suits by both contractors and property owners.
We handle closings throughout New Jersey. We strive to make the transaction as effortless as possible by taking the time to answer all of your questions and addressing your concerns. Our support staff has over 15 years of experience in all aspects of closing real estate transactions, including Real Estate Contracts, obtaining financing or refinancing, purchase of foreclosures and short sales, and selling and leasing of Real Estate.

Excellent Service
We found Mr Mirne after a bad expensive experience with George C. in Long Branch. What a relief to have a competent and aggressive attorney who did a great job for a very fair fee. One quick successful eviction and a second in progress...

Highly Satisfied Landlord Recommends Attorney Michael Mirne for Outstanding Knowledge and Service
My wife and I were both very pleased with the handling of a very difficult potential tenant eviction case which Michael had to handle with 2 different legal approaches, which were so effective that the tenant voluntarily vacated and we did not even have to go to court. Michael is very professional and knowledgeable, and his fees are fair and reasonable. We were also extremely impressed with how responsive Michael was to phone calls and E-mails. We both highly recommend Michael to anyone who has a Landlord/Tenant problem to resolve.

I highly recommend Michael and his paralegal Colleen after being represented on two separate legal issues.
Michael represented me on two separate occasions; the first was a construction litigation in which I won a substantial settlement against an unscrupulous construction contractor, and the second was a routine but somewhat irksome (due to the buyer's behavior) closing on the sale of my house. In both cases, I was pleased with the handling of the case from both a legal and an administrative viewpoint, and I found the fees to be very fair and reasonable. His treatment of me, the client, was also very responsive and pleasant. I highly recommend him without hesitation.

Satisfied landlord recommends tenancy attorney
I am a local property manager in Asbury Park NJ. I was referred to Michael several years ago to represent me for tenancy matters. I found him to be friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. He has been a landlord for a number of years so I find him easy to work with. My cases are consistently resolved in a timely fashion in or out of court. I will continue to use Michael for all of my tenancy matters because he and his office staff are always very helpful and efficient at getting them done. I am currently working with MichaeI on a post tenancy lawsuit which I am confident he will handle in the same cool level headed manner I have seen him use in all of my cases. I am very satisfied and highly recommend Michael.
