Melissa Suarez

Ms. Suarez has experience in a variety of transactional matters including: the purchase and sale of commercial and residential properties including cooperatives, condominiums, and residential dwellings; the development of residential dwellings; negotiation of lease agreements; condemnation proceedings, representing both the condemning authority and private land owners; purchase of franchise; sale of business; and bulk transfer of business assets.

Ms. Suarez has been involved in a variety of commercial and employment litigation matters including defending various state and federal employment discrimination claims, and enforcement of restrictive covenants. 

Ms. Suarez received her Juris Doctorate degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Ms. Suarez conducted her undergraduate studies at KeanUniversity, from which she received a B.A. degree, cum laude.  

Ms. Suarez is admitted to practice inNew JerseyandNew York, and the U.S. District Court, Districts of New Jersey and Southern District of New York. 

Ms. Suarez was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to the New Jersey District IIB Attorney Ethics Committee, for a four year term from 2007 - 2011. 

Ms. Suarez is a member of the New York Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, and Association of Civil Trial Attorneys.

Ms. Suarez is also a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, and a member of various committees including its Real Property Committee, Labor Law Committee, and Municipal Law Committee.

Ms. Suarez is fluent in Spanish.
