Sheila E. O'Shea-Criscione is a Partner with Carcich and O'Shea, LLc since September 2016. She has a proven track record of success as an employment attorney. In her practice, Ms. O’Shea-Criscione regularly handles all aspects of employment law. She has managed litigation involving claims of harassment and discrimination on the basis of gender, pregnancy, age, race, religion, national origin and disability, as well as wrongful discharge, FMLA, CEPA, invasion of privacy, defamation, breach of employment contracts and retaliation claims. Ms. O’Shea-Criscione not only brings years of experience to the table, but is a skilled researcher and believes that careful listening to client needs has earned her a reputation as an attentive and assertive advocate. Ms. O'Shea-Criscione is a member of the bar in New Jersey and New York and appears in New Jersey Superior Court and Municipal Court in Bergen, Essex, Sussex, Morris and Passaic Counties. She is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Conflict Resolution section as well as the Bergen County Bar Association. Since 1993, Ms. O'Shea-Criscione has been an adjunct professor at Montclair State University where she teaches undergraduate classes such as "Conflict and Its Resolution," "Negotiation, Mediation, Arbitration;" "Legal Research," and "Intro to Law and the Legal Procedure." She has also taught graduate level classes on Mediation. She serves as a trustee on the Bergen County Special Service Board of Education and was also a Paramus Board of Education trustee from 2005-2014. Ms. O’Shea-Criscione is also an active member of the Paramus Rotary Club. Ms. O'Shea-Criscione has been associated with Contant and Atkins before becoming a partner of Deutsch Atkins, P.C.. She grew up in Hillsdale, NJ and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts in 1988. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Pace University School of Law, White Plains, New York in 1992 and she served as Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Bruce A. Gaeta, J.S.C., 1992-1993.
