I'll start by saying I had about a dozen consultations with different lawyers, and once I had my phone call with Joe, I knew right away I was going to hire him. He is very thorough, astute, and an excellent communicator. He always got back to me quickly, was never late, and had multiple strategies... for every potential hurdle that might arise. I got the best possible outcome after being charged with a DUI even after 10 lawyers I spoke with said I had no chance! I would absolutely recommend Joe!

When I got T-boned just feet away from where my four month old son was sitting in his car seat, I felt like I was living a nightmare. I pulled over safely, ran around the car, and couldn’t open his door. I’ll never forget his scream. Since I was making a left turn and couldn’t remember specific detai...ls, I was issued a summons and a court date. I called Joseph J. Donatiello, Esq. immediately upon returning home from the emergency room later that night. He immediately reassured me and put my fears to rest. The very next morning, I filled out his information survey, which was both easy to understand and quick to complete. He contacted the municipal court that day and was able to procure a convenient court date and time so I was able to obtain child care. Throughout the weeks between the accident and the court date, Joe answered all of my questions quickly and efficiently, from insurance to proper courtroom attire. On my court date, I received a text message from Joe one hour before I was scheduled to arrive. He was already at the courthouse (an hour away from his office), had met with the prosecutors, and was prepping for my arrival. When I arrived, I was a mix of emotions: anxious, scared, and embarrassed. Again, Joe put me at ease by walking me through the entire process. Since he had arrived so early, we were called before the Judge had to listen to the remote testimonies from the jail. Out of possibly fifty people waiting to be heard, my case was one of the first to be brought up. Joe stood by my side and was able to reduce my ‘Failure to Yield the Right of Way’ (2 points, maximum fine of $200, possible imprisonment not exceeding 15 days) to one count of Obstructing Traffic (court fine $56, assessed court costs $33, no points). We were out of the court room in under half an hour. I now understand the confusion and anxiety that accompany a traffic violation. I hope to never be in this situation in the future. However, there is no one I would rather have by my side defending me than Joseph J. Donatiello, Esq. His professionalism and expertise are second to none. He treated me like family and never made me feel inferior or ignorant (even though I had no idea what was going on). I look forward to utilizing his services in the future (though hopefully only for when we close on our house)!
