About Michael
Biography
I exclusively devote my entire practice family law related matters.
I am Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney. I achieved this prestigious recognition based on my experience as a practitioner; obtaining the recommendations of other family law attorneys and Superior Court Judges whom I have appeared before; meeting extensive continuing legal education requirements; and successfully completing a full-day written examination.
I have represented litigants in all facets of family law in issues, including but not limited to, alimony; equitable distribution of assets and liabilities; custody and parenting time; and child support.
Additionally, I have vast experience in both defending and prosecuting domestic violence cases. The results of those cases can have collateral consequences associated witht them including impacting various types of employment such as law enforcement and custody and parenting time issues.
I am also a trained mediator, pursuant to Court Rule 1:40. As a result, I am on the Court approved roster of mediators for Mandatory Economic Mediation.
Additionally, I have lectured on various family law topics, including alimony; trial preparation; custody and parenting time; and discovery issues in family law cases.
Mr. DeTommaso exclusively practices family law and is Certified as a Matrimonial Law Attorney.
