Short sale - the best attorney

Richard was recommended to me by my real estate agent for a short sale property my family owned. This was not an easy short sale at all and he worked through all of the challenges quickly and patiently. I have one word to describe Richard: AWESOME! He is the best. Almost all of our interactions were ...done over email/phone and was very responsive with all of my emails and phone calls. Broke down all of the legal terms to me in a way I can easily understand, spoke to the point, very patient, trustworthy, and very kind. My family and I are very grateful for all that Richard did during the short sale of our property. It was a pleasure working with him and we highly recommend Richard!

Stand-out Real Estate Attorney - Guiding Light who assisted diligently through 8-month delay

Richard helped us through the home-buying process as first-time buyers. Our transaction was delayed for over 8 months by zoning issues and other problems on the seller's side. The seller and his attorney were an absolute nightmare to deal with, but Richard continuously pressured them and eventually... our purchase was successful. His fee was very, very reasonable especially considering the (literally) hundreds of e-mails that he sent. With his representation, we were able to get the seller to remove an oil tank, make multiple large repairs to the property and grant a concession for delays. This transaction was one of the most trying and difficult experiences I've ever faced, but having Richard to advise and assist throughout the process made it manageable. I highly recommend Richard to anyone who is purchasing a home and wants an experienced, professional attorney who will advocate for his client's interests.

Short sale

Richard DeVita was recommended to me to effect a short sale after an apartment I had owned in New Jersey and vacated in 2010 had been sold on several times to different loan companies that had refused to foreclose or agree a DIL and were charging excessive fees. He resolved the issues quickly and eff...ectively and the sale was finally closed today. I echo the review by Deborah on this website.

Impeccable!

Impeccable service! Richard made the whole process so easy and straight forward. It was our first home buying experience and he gave us such peace of mind. He is very knowledgeable and is able to break down all the sophisticated legal lingo into terms a layman like me can understand. Would absolutely... recommend to all!

Richard Devita

Richard was my lawyer for a home short sale. He was chosen for me by my realtor because my lawyer was unable to do the job. Richard was very thorough through out the whole process. All documents were sent to me when he received them and he processed all aspects of the sale in a timely manner. He ...was given power of attorney to contact the mortgage company and he apprised me of all communications as I needed to know them. I was nervous about the whole process of the short sale, but Richard was always able to calm my fears with information that he would get for me after I questioned him. He was very easy to work with and I would use him again if needed.
