Daniel J Burns

Daniel has been an Associate at Finnerty, Canda & Concannon, P.C. since 2015. Before joining the firm, he served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Terry Paul Bottinelli, J.S.C. in the Chancery Division, Family Part, in both Passaic County and Bergen County Superior Courts. Daniel earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark in 2013, where he participated in the Child Advocacy Clinic, worked as a research assistant for a family law professor, had his article selected for publication, and served as Managing Editor of the “Rutgers Computer & Technology Law Journal.” While attending law school, Daniel was a judicial law intern for the Honorable John E. Selser, J.S.C. in the Chancery Division, Family Part of Passaic County.

In 2010, Daniel graduated from Fordham University, where he received a B.A. in Political Science and was inducted into the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. He has focused his practice solely in the area of family law and matrimonial litigation. Daniel is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Bergen County Bar Association, and participates as a pupil in the Barry Croland Family Law Inns of Court.
