Michael J. Dolan is the co-founder of Dolan Divorce Lawyers and the lead personal injury attorney at Dolan Injury Lawyers. A lifelong Connecticut resident who was born and raised in New Haven County, Attorney Dolan has built his practice around representing people and families who have been injured and need clear guidance, strong advocacy, and an attorney who is fully invested in their recovery.
Along with his brother and co-founder, Matthew Dolan, Attorney Dolan helped build the Dolan law firms around a different kind of client experience. The firms emphasize responsiveness, accessibility, preparation, empathy, and respect for clients’ time, resources, and well-being. Attorney Dolan brings those values directly into his personal injury practice. He is known for listening carefully, communicating clearly, and giving clients practical advice during some of the most stressful and uncertain moments in their lives.

Attorney Dolan earned his Bachelor of Arts from Boston College, graduating with honors, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Before co-founding the Dolan firms, he gained litigation experience through clerkships, internships, and work with Connecticut litigation firms handling personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and other civil matters.
Attorney Dolan has been recognized as a New England Super Lawyers Rising Star in Personal Injury Law from 2017 through 2025, was named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in Connecticut, and received the Connecticut Law Tribune New Leader in the Law Award in 2017.
Attorney Dolan is also active in the legal and local community, including through the New Haven County Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Outside of his legal practice, he has long-standing ties to the Connecticut youth sports and hockey community, reflecting his commitment to local families, teamwork, and community involvement.

Great to work with
I was a little apprehensive about talking to a lawyer since I had never been in this type of situation before, but Mike was totally approachable. Excellent Lawyer
What I liked most about Mike, other than his emphasis on customer service, was that he seemed to genuinely understand that you can still be hurt in a car accident even when your car isn’t totaled. Mike seemed to really take this to heart, because he went back and forth with the other driver’s insura...

Hire Mike!
Can’t say enough good things about my experience with Attorney Dolan as my lawyer! I came to him right after my car was T-Boned as I was driving through an intersection. This was my first serious car accident (a few previous fender benders, but no injuries fortunately) and I had no idea what to do....
