A reprimand is an order from the Statewide Grievance Committee after it has found that an attorney has engaged in ethical misconduct. If an attorney receives more than 3 reprimands in 5 years, a presentment must be filed against the attorney so the Superior Court can decide if more serious discipline should be ordered.

Suzann’s comment: “This action arose from a fee dispute from a post-divorce client that we represented for just a few days. The client filed 2 grievances, and the 2nd resulted in a reprimand. In part because of this matter, the Firm stopped handling divorce and post-divorce cases, and has concentrated in other areas for well over 10 years.”
