Elder Care

We turned to Steven when my father became ill and passed suddenly and my mother was in need of long term care. Steven immediately put a plan in place and with his staffs help they guided us through the elder care process. They were always quick to respond to any questions we had and were very knowle...dgeable and caring. We just couldn’t imagine doing this all on our own, it was money well spent. They helped are family through a very difficult time and we were glad they were there. We have and will continue to recommend Attorney Steve Allaire to family and friends.

My Mom's Elder Care support

Steve has handled my Mom's elder care for the last 3 years. During that time he was instrumental in completing the required mountain of paper work required for Medicaid. His attention to details made the filing manageable and followed thru with any additional paper work asked for. Steve helped e...nable my Mom to get into the Nursing home of her choice by giving our family the understanding we needed to navigate the process. My Mom could not be happier and so is the family. Recently we had an issue with my Mom’s bank account and the CT tax dept. I contacted Steve needing help understanding the complexities surrounding the steps the court was taking. Steve made calls on my Mom’s behalf to the CT Tax dept. and the Court system to un-ravel the actions we needed to take. His persistence and knowledge broke the log jam and we were able to successfully clear up the issue. I recommend Steve Alliare to anyone in need of elder care or estate planning, his knowledge and skills are greatly appreciated by our family.

Estate Planning

Stephen and his staff helped my family through the entire estate planning,Title 19,probate and the real estate transaction that transpired as my parents aged and recently passed away. Stephen and his staff were courteous, prompt with answers, extremely knowledgeable and very respectful to my families n...eeds during some trying and emotional times. My family has great respect for the law office of Attorney Allaire and have recommended his services to our friends and family as they too will have similar needs.

Eyes Wide Open

For elder law care, be prepared to fork out thousands in advance. After the initial consultation and lump sum payment you never actually speak to Mr. Allaire again but to his office staff. After paying a large amount of $ we were hoping we would be talking with people who knew the ins and outs of e...lder law. Be prepared to do most of the work and double check anything they tell you. We are doing parallel investigative work ourselves or double checking them. Many times we have been told one thing and when checking ourselves have found out it is something different. They also ask for the same information over and over again.

Very unhappy

Very poor job. Overall poor knowledge of the probate process, which very much surprised me as this is supposed to be his expertise. His staff seemed to do most of his legal work, which may have resulted in the very poor representation I received. He did not like me questioning his approach to thin...gs, but it's a good thing I did because I found a number of errors which he and his staff made. If you must use him, be sure to to keep him on a very short leash and ask a lot of questions along the way.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
