My mom was 85 when she was no longer able to care for herself. Although she was physically healthy her mind lost its ability to function. There were so many decisions to be made, almost all with legal implications (sales of house and car, her care, veteran benefits, medicaid, power of attorney, hea...lth proxies, among others). Thank goodness I was aware of Stephen Allaire's firm. Their legal expertise and their kindness and understanding guided my thru one of the most difficult times of my life. Atty. Allaire was recommended to me by a friend who had previously engaged his firm to help get a family member eligible for Title XIX. I had found myself in a similar situation as POA for my own family member and originally thought I would be able to accomplish this task on my own. I quickly realize...d that was never going to happen and that I needed help. My particular case was not at all straightforward and Atty.
