  1. Bankruptcy and debt
    65%
I represent individuals and small businesses in filing bankruptcy and negotiating creditor settlements in ME and NH. I represent debtors only, never a creditor. I have experience in Chapters 7, 11, 12 (especially for farmers and fishermen) and 13. I have succeeded in obtaining discharges of student loans for people nearing retirement. I want people to know there is a chapter of bankruptcy that will help them, and before using retirement funds or disposing of assets, they should come see me.

I can help negotiate settlements with your creditors. Because I am experienced in bankruptcy and debt settlement, I can explain all of your alternatives and provide complete representation in these areas.

  4. Foreclosure
    5%
Homeowners - do not assume that when a foreclosure is threatened or commenced, nothing more can be done. I can help by guiding you through the foreclosure process, asserting defenses you may not know you have, and aiding in the mediation process established by the courts. In addition, there are bankruptcy alternatives which can absolutely stop a foreclosure while you have time to cure a default. Don't hire an out of state mortgage resolution firm - you need local advice.

I approach my clients with compassion for the cards they have been dealt by life.  Anyone can find himself in financial difficulties these days.   I have over three decades of experience in representing people and small businesses in financial distress. Because I have a broad experience encompassing bankruptcy, debt settlement, and foreclosure defense, I can guide you through the complexities of your rights and options, arriving at the most effective course of action for your particular circumstances. I have extensive experience in Chapter 13, in which you can have up to 5 years to cure a mortgage default, while also working for a loan modification. I run my own small business, so I am sensitive to the pressures of the self-employed.  If you are approaching retirement saddled with student loan debt, please come talk to me about discharging it. If you are a family farmer or fisherman, you need to know there is a special bankruptcy chapter designed to help you keep your assets and continue operating through dry spells and rough waters! Please do not use your retirement funds or take another loan on your house to deal with your debts until you have talked with me. I'd like to help you move forward to a new peace of mind. You will receive your legal services directly from me - you will not be assigned to less experienced staff, as you might be in a larger firm. Call me today, or email my office for an appointment.  I look forward to talking with you!

Easy to make consult appt.
Found Leeann when I searched for property lien attorneys in Maine. Called her number and was able to make a consult appointment that worked for me within 24 hours. The secretary I spoke with was very friendly and was reassuring. Can't wait until I speak with Leeann, but so far so good

Leeanne met with us for a bankruptcy case. The case went smoothly and anytime we called Leeanne she got right back to us. We hardly had anything to do throught out the process. We did get back in touch with Leeanne before it was ended to see if there was any other obligations that had to be paid. We were a bit surprised with the amount we still owed but was able to come up with the cash to pay it off. Leeanne did not hold up the courts because her portion had not been paid and we both thought that was nice of her to do.

Highly recommend
Lee helped my husband and me through our Chapter 13 bankruptcy, which is a scary process. She and her staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they were always available to answer questions. When we had concerns, they were dealt with quickly, and we were copied on all correspondence. I would not hesitate to recommend Lee and her staff.

Bankruptcy represented by Lee Anne Graybeal
Lee saw me through my bankruptcy which was a very trying time for me as it is with anyone. Lee provided me with compassion and understanding. She thoroughly knows the system and is well entrenched in the court system as I could see she has excellent relationships with all parties we interacted with through the process. She has a great depth of knowledge regarding bankruptcy laws. I highly recommend Lee.

Compassion
Lee is sincere, honest, compassionate in her work. I found her to be attentive to my story when I met with her each time, she maintained good eye contact, & comfortable to be around. She was experienced in her skills & knowledgeable in her craft. She took on my case because I think she thought it was the right thing to do & believed in the process of the law. I trusted her & she believed in me, together we had faith in the process, facts to prove my case of undue hardship in along time educational student loan struggle! All others I turned to were unable to help my case. Lee had faith in herself & the skills to take my case on & she won my dignity & my case at at the same time. I will forever be grateful that someone took the chance & the challenge to make it right!
