Bankruptcy and Debt 65%

I represent individuals and small businesses in filing bankruptcy and negotiating creditor settlements in ME and NH. I represent debtors only, never a creditor. I have experience in Chapters 7, 11, 12 (especially for farmers and fishermen) and 13. I have succeeded in obtaining discharges of student loans for people nearing retirement. I want people to know there is a chapter of bankruptcy that will help them, and before using retirement funds or disposing of assets, they should come see me.

I can help negotiate settlements with your creditors. Because I am experienced in bankruptcy and debt settlement, I can explain all of your alternatives and provide complete representation in these areas.

Foreclosure 5%

Homeowners - do not assume that when a foreclosure is threatened or commenced, nothing more can be done. I can help by guiding you through the foreclosure process, asserting defenses you may not know you have, and aiding in the mediation process established by the courts. In addition, there are bankruptcy alternatives which can absolutely stop a foreclosure while you have time to cure a default. Don't hire an out of state mortgage resolution firm - you need local advice.

Bankruptcy represented by Lee Anne Graybeal

Lee saw me through my bankruptcy which was a very trying time for me as it is with anyone. Lee provided me with compassion and understanding. She thoroughly knows the system and is well entrenched in the court system as I could see she has excellent relationships with all parties we interacted with t...hrough the process. She has a great depth of knowledge regarding bankruptcy laws. I highly recommend Lee.

Compassion

Lee is sincere, honest, compassionate in her work. I found her to be attentive to my story when I met with her each time, she maintained good eye contact, & comfortable to be around. She was experienced in her skills & knowledgeable in her craft. She took on my case because I think she thought it w...as the right thing to do & believed in the process of the law. I trusted her & she believed in me, together we had faith in the process, facts to prove my case of undue hardship in along time educational student loan struggle! All others I turned to were unable to help my case. Lee had faith in herself & the skills to take my case on & she won my dignity & my case at at the same time. I will forever be grateful that someone took the chance & the challenge to make it right!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
