My clients tried to modify their mortgage but the bank was unresponsive. I filed a bankruptcy for them, and they determined to surrender the home, so they moved out. Then the lender offered to work w ... ith them so they returned to the home and were once more denied for a modification. In the same time frame, they added a child to their family and experienced serious medical problems. After once more surrendering their home, and during and after the bankruptcy, the lender called them relentlessly to discuss the loan. I filed a complaint to hold the creditor responsible for post-discharge attempts to obtain payment.
