I’m a trial attorney who brings years of prosecutorial experience to my criminal defense practice. After graduating from Suffolk University Law School, where I was a member of the prosecutors clinical program. Knowing I wanted to work both in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, I took each state's bar exam back-to-back, passing both on my first attempt. I served as an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County, Massachusetts’ largest county. I appeared in court daily, arguing bail hearings and evidentiary motions and regularly trying cases before judges and juries.
I came home to New Hampshire and joined the Criminal Bureau of the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office. I started out prosecuting unemployment fraud in the Superior Courts alongside the Department of Employment Security. I was later commissioned as an Assistant Attorney General in the Drug Prosecution Unit, where I prosecuted drug felonies and related civil asset forfeitures and was on call for homicide and officer-involved use-of-force investigations. I also briefed and argued appeals before the New Hampshire Supreme Court, securing favorable outcomes for the State.
Today, I draw on that experience to defend clients charged with felonies, misdemeanors, and violations in New Hampshire and Massachusetts courts, including related license proceedings before the NH DMV and Massachusetts RMV.

Highly Skilled Attorney with Proven Results
I had the chance of working with Shane on a complex criminal matter in New Hampshire. As a Massachusetts-licensed driver, my case involved multiple layers of legal challenges—including implications for my driving record, license status, and potential penalties across state lines. From our initial mee...

MA OUI with NH Driver's License - CWOF Finding
I was facing an MA OUI CWOF wth a NH license. Despite the case bringing a CWOF outcome in MA, NH still gave me a conviction on my record, and tried to conviscate my license for 9 months and demand I carry an SR-22 insurance premium, on top of my MA 45 day license loss and MID program. Shane was abl...
I really appreciate this review and thank the client for their kind words. I comment just to clarify for anyone reading that I was not the attorney who represented this client in their MA Operating Under the Influence (OUI) case (although that is certainly a type of case I regularly assist clients with). Instead in this instance, I was hired to assist this individual after another attorney resolved this individual's Massachusetts' OUI matter with a Continuance Without a Finding ("CWOF") plea in Massachusetts, which resulted in collateral penalties issued by the State of New Hampshire DMV following the plea in Massachusetts, due to this client having a NH issued driver's license at the time of the MA OUI offense. I successfully represented this individual in front of the NH DMV, and was able to remove and vacate the additional penalties issued by the State of New Hampshire in full, to include having the CWOF'd OUI penalty removed entirely from their NH Driving record as a reported "guilty" finding. If you are an individual charged with an OUI offense in MA and hold a NH driver's license, I strongly recommend you to try and speak with an attorney having experience in BOTH states, as these "across state lines" nuances and license implications are not necessarily easily or well understood by attorneys practicing solely within either state.

5 Stars are not enough
I had the fortune of Shane Goudas as my attorney for my DUI case. He was professional, thorough and communicated in a manner to which every client deserves to be. If I had a question or a concern, Shane always got back to me the same day (and sometimes called if talking was an easier option). In th...

I would highly recommend to hire Shane. He is clearly knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. He was able to drop my DUI charge to reckless driving. Which honestly, I thought was not possible.
