Such absolute carelessness. Didn’t review material. Embarrassment in court. If it was just money you might understand. This is kids lives and well-being. All of his advice was to advance his own billable hours, when that got called into question, he scorched the earth and ran away.
This review is not accurate. We recently had a hearing. Prior to the hearing, the client reviewed and approved my presentation/argument to the Judge for completeness and accuracy. He agreed it was accurate and complete. During the hearing, the Judge posed 2 questions directly to the client, not to me; from the client's direct answer, from his own mouth, it was apparent that he had previously misrepresented information to the Judge. The Judge was not pleased. The Court order noted these 2 verbal misrepresentations and the client was disappointed in the order. Yet, it was the client who was inquired directly by the Judge. This is all on the record both in the court order and on the court's recording of the hearing. So to now turn it around and blame me is completely inaccurate and completely false. This client has not taken responsibility for his own statements. I have no idea where the allegations regarding billable hours comes from. I only performed work that either is required by the court such as assembling what are called mandatory disclosures of statements or actions requested by the client. Nothing more. The reference to "he scorched the earth" is that I told him I could not represent him if he was going to make misrepresentations to the court. Therefore, I withdrew my representation. The circumstances made it impossible to represent this client. I did nothing to embarass anyone as the presentation was based upon information he provided and that he approved prior the hearing. Perhaps the embarassment in this situation was based upon the client getting caught making misrepresentations to the Judge. My office is in the service business and we have offered great service to our clients for over 20 years as documented by our real reviews here on AVVO and on www.lawyerratingz.com. We continue to strive to provide great service and will always do so. Our office was designated one of the 10 best attorneys for exceptional and outstanding client service in NH for 2018 by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. I meet with clients during some of their most distressing times of their lives as we handle divorce/family law, bankruptcy, criminal defense, personal injury and estate planning. My staff and I are very empathetic to our clients and their situations. Unfortunately, I think this review was unnecessary, uncalled for and misdirected. At no time did this client tell me of any dissatisfaction with our service prior to the receipt of the court order or the billing until he was caught making the misrepresentations to the Judge and I found it necessary to withdraw my representation.

DIVORCE
Hired Atty Annutto for a divorce case. I wanted nothing from my husband; just a divorce - I even paid for it myself. After I and former husband filled out the paperwork I walked into his office and asked at the receptionist desk where exactly we were suppose to sign. He obviously does not believe ...
My office is in the service business and we have offered great service to our clients for over 20 years as documented by our great reviews here on AVVO and on www.lawyerratingz.com. At no time did this client tell me of any dissatisfaction with our service. If she had, I would have taken care of the issue immediately. Even after posting this review, I called and left a message for this client in an attempt to resolve and address her issues. I never received the courtesy of a call back. I don’t think there was ever really an issue with us. If there was, I would have been contacted before or after the review was posted. This is a situation where she is angry that she was getting a divorce and that she had to pay for it. She says so in the first line. “I wanted nothing from my husband; just a divorce-I even paid for it myself.” She is angry with her husband and that she had to pay for her own divorce. My office did prepare the documents quickly, accurately, and professionally. Her review says nothing as to the accuracy of the documents or their timeliness because she couldn’t. We don’t charge clients to point out where to sign documents. However, if someone asks to meet and is seeking legal advice we would charge for that time. As an attorney, our time and advice is charged for. The retainer agreement provides for us to do so. So, if there was a charge for a meeting it was to discuss documents, their meanings and implications. This office sends out monthly statements detailing all activity and charges. This client never challenged the any of the charges at the time the statements were sent to her. This divorce was completed quickly, accurately, and efficiently. This client received a sizeable refund back. The service was very professional. The only reason she was told by her husband about the divorce first was because he was self-represented. When that happens, the court sends the notices directly to the self-represented person. If a party has an attorney, their notice goes to the attorney. We informed her that the divorce was completed as soon as we received the notice. The only reason the ex-husband would have known first would have been on the mail service and the timing of the mail delivery. So now she is basing her review of me on the quickness of the delivery of the US Postal Service. The bottom line is this divorce was handled very professionally and very quickly which is why this client received a sizeable refund. Her anger is misplaced towards our office when she is angry at herself for getting divorced and having to pay anyone for it. This office will continue to have happy and satisfied clients. Our awards show our professionalism and client satisfaction. If this client was really interested in resolving whatever issues she had, she would have contacted me before the review or responded to my call when I called her. Joe Annutto
