Highest possible recommendation for Attorney Chris Garner -
Attorney Christopher J. Garner represented me recently in two separate matters. I could not recommend him more highly to anyone seeking legal representation in the Nashua area. To be honest, I found his name on-line when I was looking for an attorney to represent me - and I could not be more happy that I chose him as my attorney. He is experienced, extremely knowledgeable and very well-respected in all areas that he practices. He is hard-working and was never too busy to personally take my calls and answer any questions I might have. Just as important, he was able to secure extremely positive personal results for me in both my cases. I was ALWAYS kept up to date on the status of my cases - he is very worthy of the highest overall ratings I have given!! If you need competent, compassionate, professional and results-oriented legal representation now or in the future, please do not hesitate to call Chris Garner. I guarantee that you will be glad you did. I certainly am!!

Attorney Chris was fair and trustworthy. He was very accurate and honest, even if I didn't want to hear it.. :). He kept me updated at all times and return my calls expeditiously. I hope I never have to use him for a divorce again but I would highly recommend anyone who wants a well informed, knowledgeable and honest attorney to use him for their legal needs.
Thanks Chris

Expect the unexpected Wonderful Attorney
I was referred to Attorney Garner by The Pro Bono Organization of NH. Because I fell at 62 years old and suffered substantial injury I could no longer work and consequently fell behind on my bills. There was no other choice but to declare bankruptcy. I met with Attorney Garner and was so impressed by him and his assistant Dixie. I was extremely skeptical at first but was quickly swayed by their professionalism and actual concern over making sure I understood everything before I filed. I ABSOLUTELY and without question would use Attorney Garner legal services if I ever needed legal counsel. I certainly would refer my friends and family to him. Thanks so much Attorney Garner for everything you did for me. I will always be grateful to him!

Landlord issue
Would highly recommend Attorney Garner. His legal fees were fair and reasonable. Our case was handled professionally and expediently. My partner and I retained Attorney Garner for a landlord issue. On the initial consultation my partner left his phone at Attorney Garner's office. When we realized and went back the office was closed for the day. I found his cell number and called him to see if he was still close to the office. He was already a 1/2 hour away in Manchester NH. He took the time to drive back to Nashua to open the office for us. Five stars for his legal expertise and five stars for his compassion.

Former client
Too bad they don't have "-1 star " I would give it to this lawyer!!!
Christopher Garner is a horrible lawyer. Rude and disrespectful.please be very careful with this lawyer I personally 100% would not recommend his services to anyone at all. Terrible experience and a lawyer who is not looking out for your best interest as a client, He just asked me in my first visit "consulting " the day before Christmas for fees $$$ in cash only and that was very weird because lawyers don't ask for cash! so I paid the cash and than I had no service at all and nothing was solved!
So basically I lost my money and my time with this lawyer and now I have to find a professional lawyer who cares about his clients.

Response from Christopher GarnerFebruary 21, 2020
I recognize this client. He called me on a Friday afternoon (11/22/19) representing that he had an urgent situation regarding a lawsuit that had been filed against him. He advised there was a hearing in the Superior Court on the next Tuesday (11/26/19) at 9:00 am. I discussed his situation briefly on the phone and scheduled a late afternoon appointment at 4 15 pm that Friday. We discussed the need to make immediate contact with an attorney who represented the Plaintiff in an effort to continue the upcoming hearing so as to buy time and explore various legal options including potential bankruptcy alternatives. Not all the facts or documents had been presented in that first contact. I advised that when there is a need for immediate involvement in a clients case that I cannot accept personal checks and that he could obtain a money order or bring in cash . I proposed a modest fee of $750 to initiate my involvement in his matter. He signed a standard fee agreement which outlined in detail my role and his financial responsibility. We met for 30 minutes or more. I did not bill him for that appointment. Immediately after he left that appointment I called the Attorney representing the plaintiff at 5 pm on a Friday afternoon and left a detailed voice mail regarding this client and the hearing on Tuesday. On Monday 11/25/19 I had a phone conversation with the other lawyer who provided information that potentially jeopardized the clients option of utilizing bankruptcy relief as a solution to his lawsuit. I called the client that same day and advised him to appear in the Court the next morning so as not to be found in default. At no time had I ever indicated to the client that I would appear in a civil lawsuit for the fee we discussed and he paid. The client appeared in Court himself. Over the course of the next 60 days there was contact between client and myself on a number of occasions, contact with 2 attorneys involved in the legal dispute, review and analysis of numerous pleadings and other documents involved in the case. I ultimately concluded that a bankruptcy filing would be problematic given the allegations being made against the conduct of my client. I called client on 2/20/20 to fill him in on the status of the case and my opinion that bankruptcy was not a good option and probably cost prohibitive given the anticipated objection to his claim. He apparently did not fully understand the information that I was trying to convey to him and asked what had I done for him? I advised him that I did not think we could continue to work together given his position. I told him I will run a billing statement and return to him the balance of his initial retainer. The next day I composed and sent him a detailed letter summarizing my involvement and what was being alleged by the entity suing him and another party to the dispute who was likely going to sue him also. There was only a small retainer left of $28.00 as I spent significant time on his matter. The next day he called and demanded I give him $500 (of the total 750 )back or he would sue me or damage my reputation. Hence the negative review. I stand by my professional job that I did and it is unfortunate that some people want to blame others for their mistakes.
