Hired this attorney to handle a Short Sale on my Home. She said she would take care of everything with the creditor and NOT TO WORRY. My wife and I PAID HER THE TOTAL FEE SHE REQUESTED. SHE TOOK OUR MONEY and RAN. Only to find out a year or so later that she was SUSPENDED FOR DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS by ...the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from Practicing Law for 4 Years. It is my belief from reading about her Suspension in the Newspaper that she misappropriated client money to help bail out / finance her "Better Half's" Construction Company with some of his own Financial Scams and Issues. I probably got 3% moneys worth for her services that I paid her for. My wife and I actually had to come up with MORE out of pocket $ and hire another Firm to handle our Short Sale situation. Gail Balser Promised us the World, DELIVERED NOTHING !!!! RIPPED US OFF !!!

I recently had an issue with a creditor which due to poor communication and misunderstanding evolved into a lawsuit against me. I needed advice from an attorney to solve the problem. I consulted with Gail. She recognized the issue, saw that it wasn't complicated ( just needed to be communicated pro...perly) and contacted the other parties attorney immediately and through a quick negotiation the lawsuit was stopped and the issue solved to both parties satisfaction. I was not able to communicate the issue properly. Gail was. She is down to earth and easy to talk with, understood my needs and position and then was able to relay that in the proper legal way to the other parties attorney. I worked with Gail for over three years in my custody battle for my two children. Gail arrived at Court very prepared to handle every motion and even a contempt that my husband brought against me. My case had to go to trial. Divorce can get expensive but after a long three years of my husbands lies...,, the Judge gave me custody of my children. Gail was very accessible through out the entire process. I often spoke to her on weekends when was I was off from work. She gave me her personal cell phone so that I could reach her at any time. It was hard to be patient because the Court was sometimes slow in getting my case to the next step. But I kept calm and I listened to Gail every step of the way and she that was the reason we were so successful. I couldn't recommend a more caring and knowledgeable lawyer. Gail was patient with me and responsive through out the entire process. There are not many lawyers that tell you to call them any time day or night.

I could never thank Gail enough for all her help over the years with saving my home. My adjustable rate skyrocketed years ago and my home was in foreclosure. It took six years ( I think I was her longest modification) and was so stressful but gail never gave up and never let me down ever. Each time a... letter would come that the modification couldn't be done for one reason or another Gail would get right back on it and start again. All the times I fell off on my payments and she needed to do more work she never charged me more. She always answered my calls and my emails and even met me near my house an hour away from her office to get paperwork!! She is amazing!! The day I got word that my modification went thru I promised myself and Gail that never ever would I get in that place again. She made it possible to keep my family home and I can never thank her enough!!!

I first contacted Attorney Balser about avoiding a foreclosure, but I was also going through a divorce and she insisted she could help me with that too. I gave her a $10,000 retainer for both. Everything went fine with the foreclosure, but the divorce part was a disaster. She kept telling me she'd f...iled paperwork even though she wasn't filing it. Months went by, and I began talking to other Attorneys, because I was concerned. Finally, when the papers did get filed I found out they were done wrong and had to be done over from scratch. I switched to a new Attorney, and I was expecting about 6-7K back from her, but she sent me a statement (the only statement I ever got from her) showing I actually owed her money. The statement showed tons of bogus charges. I was going to try to take legal action against her for this, but with my other two legal battles going on, I just didn't have the heart for it. Stay away from this attorney, or at the very least, don't use her for a divorce, and don't pay her too much at a time, or she'll take it.
