Emir Sehic

I had a probation surrender hearing out of Orleans district court. Now a surrender hearing is much more challenging for a defense attorney because the burden of proof lies with the defense and he had to prove to the judge at 51 percent that no crime was committed. Well anyone who has ever been on pro...bation the fact that i was arrested, however unjust it may have been the judge most like is going to take the police report at face value and find me in violation. Mr. Sehic argued in my mind a flawless defense on my behalf and left the DA( who my probation officer had try the case) little to go on to validate the arrest and police report. I was scheduled to be done with probation exactly 7 days after the hearing date which just so happens to be today. Emir was appointed to me by the state took time out of one his days off to meet with me for an extended period of time at his office to make sure he had every single detail correct. Unfortunately I have had court appointed lawyers in the past and Emir Sehic did not make me feel like I was being represented with appointed counsel. He made me feel as.comfortable as possible throughout the process. He was reachable and/or returned any phone calls made to him. As well as the confidence and enthusiasm he exuded toward my case could not but have done anything else but rub off onto me, making me feel just as confident. Aside from all that in my opinion he was the most well spoken person in the room as well as the sharpest dressed person among every lawyer, district attorney, defendent, victim etc. In the courtroom. Could not have been happier with the counsel I received. Would 100 percent hire Mr. Sehic in the future should I have the funds to attain private counsel. And I would recommend anyone in need of a fantastic defense attorney to do the same. I can pretty much guarantee that you will be getting best defense possible I sure did. Thank you Emir!
