Negative experience

I have no idea why Kristine Cummings was so highly rated when my experience was the complete opposite. Kristine was hard to get in touch with, almost never met deadlines we discussed, and lacked total control and understanding of my case. Several times she made up excuses as to why she was unable to ...meet deadlines that were contradictory to previous facts. Her online persona paints a picture of someone who is more interested in partying than working, and several times explained missed deadlines. I understand divorces are arduous processes but showing up late to court, forgetting to file court documents, and missing calls while I am spending upwards of $75,000 is simply not what I would expect from any lawyer.

Stopped endless litigation and got me a great settlement!

Kristine took over what was an extremely contentious divorce. An entitled spouse had been conducting legal “terrorism” for a year. This followed a decade of abuse and, what was later discovered, massive embezzlement. It was she that finally convinced my litigious, raging spouse to try to settle,... but he and his attorney consistently dealt in such bad faith, that settlement seemed unlikely. Opposition was aggressive, vengeful and relentless when presenting their demands before a Special Master. But Kristine convincingly argued my position and secured me a much better-than-expected outcome. Her calm and professional demeanor helped to “keep the temperature down”, and definitely furthered my cause. Most-importantly, she advocated for a client whose emotional and physical health had been horribly damaged, with such patience, understanding and compassion, that I emerged from the worst ordeal of my life, a free person, with financial security, and knowing I would have a bright future. I would urge anyone who is thinking about getting married, is engaged, married, or thinking about a divorce, to consult with Kristine. She dispenses wise counsel you can trust. She candidly explains both the upside and risks of litigation, so that clients can pursue the path that is in their best interests.

Highly recommend

Kristine Cummings came highly recommended by a good friend. I was in the early stages of what seemed to be a mostly amicable divorce. I met with Kristine and she thoughtfully and carefully talked me through the divorce process. It was evident in the first meeting that Kristine was highly intelligent ...and had a vast and concise knowledge of family law. She carefully listened and assessed the details of my personal situation and agreed to work with me. As things quickly became contentious with the other side’s aggressive lawyer, Kristine was a voice of reason; firm and direct in her insistence on “bringing the temperature down.” Throughout the process, Kristine never deviated from her commitment to what was best for my two children. She was a true advocate for the well-being of the kids, and gave me sound advise based on her knowledge of the law, as well as her years of experience with assisting other families. I never questioned her advice; in fact, it was always greatly appreciated. Kristine was great about communicating with me (sometimes at very late hours of the night). I found solace in knowing that Kristine was an email or phone call away, and always felt confident and empowered by her words and plan of action. Kristine showed that she cared about my family and that she would fight for what was fair. As a father in a court system that can favor mothers, I was assured through candid discourse, that my rights as a dad would be protected. In the end, she was correct. It is for the aforementioned reasons, among many others, and without reservation that I whole-heartedly recommend Kristine Cummings to anyone seeking representation.

Highly recommend Kristine Cummings-Extremely knowledgeable, considerate and professional

Kristine worked on my contentious divorce over the course of two years. Her superior knowledge of Mass Law, professional demeanor, and patience, made a very difficult situation, tolerable. I would HIGHLY recommend Kristine, and her promotion to Partner was well deserved! Kristine was extremely pat...ient throughout the entire process, and was always reliable and prompt. I felt educated and informed as a client, explaining the best options for me and my children. She is trustworthy, and EXTREMELY professional. One would be extremely lucky to have Kristine and Sally and Fitch LLP on their side throughout the divorce process.
