A Complete Failure

Do not pay this "Attorney" a retainer. I paid her $5000.00 on December 16, 2021, which is when my check was deposited. On January 10, 2022, I had not heard anything from her. I called her office and she said she was waiting for my retainer. I explained to her she had deposited my check on the date a...bove. She then put the paperwork together and supposedly mailed my complaint on January 12th. I sent her a text message on January 27th asking if there was anything from the court. She replied, "sorry for the delay, I will be completing the complaint and filing it this week". I responded you mailed it on January 12. She replied, That's right, I remember putting it in the mailbox. On February 17, I requested a case/docket number, but still nothing. On February 28th, I requested a statement and never got a reply. On March 15th, due to the lack of any progress, I sent her a text stating that no progress has been made so I want to pick up my paperwork. On March 18th, I received a phone call from her stating the court had sent my paperwork back and rejected what she filed! I said great, I will come and pick up my paperwork and my retainer. She did not allow me to come and pick it up, cowardly she mailed my retainer. She also did not include any of my paperwork. I was billed $1,124.80 for paperwork that was never filed and rejected by the court. It took me until April 5th to get my paperwork. So I was billed $1,124.80 and made no progress for almost 4 months. This case also involves my 10-year-old son. This attorney failed me and my son.

Dear Bill, I understand your frustration with the delay of your matter. But as you know, I was in regular contact with the court about the progress of your filing, and they were running VERY far behind. In fact, when I called to check on the status at one point, they said that they were still inputting cases received back in December! Meanwhile, you and I spent much time talking, meeting, planning and discussing the unique challenges raised by your situation - much of which was not billed to you. Then, after all of that, you directed me to halt the case entirely, and have it dismissed. You seemed relieved when the court returned the pleadings of their own accord - saving us the time and cost of obtaining a dismissal. I remain committed to seeing that your goals are achieved here in MA - if that is what you now intend. Please do call me to discuss ways that I may satisfy you and get your case back on track.

Very helpful

Gwynne Zisko was very helpful during our intake call today. I am a bit of a ways from her and she still took the time to speak with me. I would definitely recommend her as she has 30 years experience and is very responsive.

Wonderful Attorney to speak to

Although I live too far for Gwynne to actually represent me, she has answered multiple questions I've had. She's very understanding as well as reassuring and pleasant every time I encounter her on here. She has really stood out, even if just through the Q&As.

Decreased my stress level.

I received a free phone consultation with Gwynne, my conversation was so pleasant. I had been running around like a headless chicken worried and stressed about my situation, she was able to put me at ease. She was very passionate when answering my questions. I feel so relieved after speaking to her. ...Thank you so very much Gwynne for boosting my confidence.

SHE'S A UNICORN

Gwynne Zisko is a unicorn. An absolutely mythical creature, so I thought. Good people, do exist. Selfless. She is NOT my lawyer, in full disclosure. My situation is serious. I've been guided to organizations that can help, should be able to help. They either didn't respond or passed the buck to oth...er organizations. ( who never reached out or called back ) . I posted a question on a site, she responded almost immediately. Very helpful. I didn't follow up, I actually forgot. SHE followed up. Repeatedly. Never implied I should retain her services. Not a hint of solicitation. Pure sincerity in trying to help a fellow human who desperately needs help. All too often lawyers get a bad rap. Before her, I bought into it. Empathetic, Selfless lawyers do not strictly exist in movies. If any of my closest loved ones needed a family lawyer, I will steer them to the Sledgehammer with a smile that is Gwynne Gorton Zisko. I hope you see this review Gwynne. I mean every single word. Wish I could have worded it better. Thank you so much for being you. You might not see the impact you're having, slowly as the courts are running, I AM! from the depths of my heart, thank you!! !!!!
