Child Custody & Estate Expert

Attorney Zisko was able to help me get joint legal custody and significant shared parenting time with my son nearly 16 years ago. My relationship with my son's mother was "not the best" but Gwynne fought hard on my behalf to finalize an equitable custody agreement and quash my son's mother's (multip...le) attempts to circumvent or deny my right to be my son's father. Looking back now, and hearing from others who have gone through similar struggles with shared parenting, I realize just how fortunate I was to have found Attorney Zisko. She never wavered or backed down to the handful of attorneys that my son's mother used over the years and always ensured that my son's time with me and my family was prioritized. This summer, my son's circumstances changed significantly and I reached out to Gwynne again. After 16 years, I was once again able to lean on Attorney Zisko's sound legal advice to adapt to these changes. I have always found her to be professional, motivated and caring on my behalf. Your search for a high-quality family & estate attorney to represent your family's best interests ends here!

I needed a lawyer to advise me on a probate matter.

After a DNA test proved without a doubt who my father was, I was advised to go to the Plymouth Probate Court House to review the documents, not knowing what the papers truly meant, i ask for the lawyer of the day. How lucky I was to have a phone call from Attorney Zisko. Her expertise in this area ...was amaizing she was able to pull up the paperwork and show me that everything was correct according to the law. She was able to put closer on this problem in a 30 minute phone call. Attoney Zisko, Thank you for your help!

Dear Pam, You are very welcome, and I thank you for your high praise! Readers should note that the Probate & Family Courts in each county have a program called Volunteer Lawyer for the Day. Local attorneys volunteer for a duty day to help self-represented litigants understand: 1. the law; 2. the required procedure; and 3. the facts/evidence in their own case. I have been volunteering throughout my 30 year career, and I am always happy to meet and assist someone as lovely as you!

The most caring attorney I have ever known

I was very lucky to have her as my attorney. She is strong, smart, and caring. She made sure she took care of all details so that I didn’t have to balance too much through a divorce process. She ensured I was always in the loop for everything. She has gone on to be my attorney for my personal will ...and estate planning. It’s such a relief to have her guide me through it. Best part about working with her is that she will take you through the process but never make you feel as if she is making decisions for you. It’s so important to have an attorney who is strong yet very understanding… she has always been that way.

Thank you, dear friend, for your faith in me! I am so grateful to have met you and to have assisted you in both areas. A divorce is ALOT to handle - even in the best of circumstances. It is always my aim to explain the necessary steps to take, and the standards of law, and then help you to choose the path forward that is right for you - in your own unique situation. I so appreciate your faith and confidence in me!

A Complete Failure

Do not pay this "Attorney" a retainer. I paid her $5000.00 on December 16, 2021, which is when my check was deposited. On January 10, 2022, I had not heard anything from her. I called her office and she said she was waiting for my retainer. I explained to her she had deposited my check on the date a...bove. She then put the paperwork together and supposedly mailed my complaint on January 12th. I sent her a text message on January 27th asking if there was anything from the court. She replied, "sorry for the delay, I will be completing the complaint and filing it this week". I responded you mailed it on January 12. She replied, That's right, I remember putting it in the mailbox. On February 17, I requested a case/docket number, but still nothing. On February 28th, I requested a statement and never got a reply. On March 15th, due to the lack of any progress, I sent her a text stating that no progress has been made so I want to pick up my paperwork. On March 18th, I received a phone call from her stating the court had sent my paperwork back and rejected what she filed! I said great, I will come and pick up my paperwork and my retainer. She did not allow me to come and pick it up, cowardly she mailed my retainer. She also did not include any of my paperwork. I was billed $1,124.80 for paperwork that was never filed and rejected by the court. It took me until April 5th to get my paperwork. So I was billed $1,124.80 and made no progress for almost 4 months. This case also involves my 10-year-old son. This attorney failed me and my son.

Dear Bill, I understand your frustration with the delay of your matter. But as you know, I was in regular contact with the court about the progress of your filing, and they were running VERY far behind. In fact, when I called to check on the status at one point, they said that they were still inputting cases received back in December! Meanwhile, you and I spent much time talking, meeting, planning and discussing the unique challenges raised by your situation - much of which was not billed to you. Then, after all of that, you directed me to halt the case entirely, and have it dismissed. You seemed relieved when the court returned the pleadings of their own accord - saving us the time and cost of obtaining a dismissal. I remain committed to seeing that your goals are achieved here in MA - if that is what you now intend. Please do call me to discuss ways that I may satisfy you and get your case back on track.

Highly recommended Attorney

I highly recommend Attorney Zisko . First she gave the best answer to my question on AVVO by recommending a no trespassing order for my situation rather than a restraining order which requires imminent danger situation which was not the case but was recommended by 2 other attorney respondents. Second... when I sent her a message regarding my situation she gave me a free 30 minute phone consultation clearly explaining my legal choices. I was willing to pay for further consultation but she explained that it would not be necessary at the moment but that she would be available to help if needed in the future. If needed this is the first attorney I will call. Thanks for your excellent and professional assistance with my case Gwynne it is very much appreciated. Patrick

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
