Risa Ellen Freeman

Attorney Freeman was professional, knowledgeable and strategic in my OUI defense which resulted in a not guilty verdict. She thoroughly acquired the facts in the case and was brilliant in making decisions throughout the process. Attorney Freeman was a pleasure to work with not just on a professional ...level but also in a personal way. I believe she has a gift of encouragement but one that is smartly tempered with facts and honest assessment. I would highly recommend Attorney Freeman to anyone, as she has tremendous knowledge of OUI law, but more importantly, she cares about her clients above all else. I am forever grateful she fought for me!

Fearless: I realized this as I watched her "debate" law facts and interpretations against/with a seated judge. That's cool in my book. Intelligence, one would assume, would apply to all lawyers as they are, well...lawyers. Fact is I've had lawyers in the past that exuded the wit and understanding ...that left me going into court with a "might as well skip this part and head strait to the gallows" type feeling. With Risa, thus far as my lawyer, I've yet to walk into court feeling remotely like that. Instead I've always felt at ease if not confident. She knows her facts, keeps me up to date with plans and possible complications. That last part is key, as not all lawyers have been so thoughtful with this defendant, and as humans ourselves, defendants fear the unknown just as everyone else in the world does. Quick witted just shows she can think fast which is hopefully self explanatory. As for her human side, Risa and I hit it off immediately. I respect her and even appreciate it when she sometimes has to put me in my place rather briskly, which, I'm honest enough to admit, I need from time to time. After all, I am writing a criminal defense lawyer review at the moment which, at least in my opinion, shows that when left to my own choice making abilities I have in the past made some poor choices....but, keeping Risa as my lawyer through 2 and now our 3rd case together has proven time and again that I do sometimes choice wisely. With that, I hope that you, the reader, makes a good choice and knows a good thing when you see it. I highly recommend Risa be that good choice. She truly is Great.

I had the timely fortune of meeting Risa who was immeasurably qualified in terms of denying the actions of an unrelenting, psychologically ill ex through numerous criminal defense appearances - two of which were felony related, the net result of which were 4 individually dismissed/vacated outcomes ov...er the course of 18 months. Experience, strategy, knowing the intricacies of the 'players' inherent within the system, etc. proved extremely advantageous & as a result, life's once again enjoyable. I'd recommend Risa to anyone (and have).

Ms. Freeman knew I had a good case and fought extremely hard for me. She didn't look for the quick plea deal just to end the case, continued working hard for me and was willing to take it all the way to trial because she believed she could win for me. It never ended up getting to trial though, after ...2 years of the court procedures, she was able to get my case dismissed. The outcome couldn't have been much better, so I'd highly recommend her to anyone that wants an attorney that will put the time and effort in. I also found her to be intelligent and clever during my suppression hearing, the way she cross-examined the state's witness was extremely effective, for she employed highly skilled tactics to show the witness was being dishonest, which is so important in any type of case. You want someone who believes in you and shows it with the effort they make on your case. I found Risa Freeman to be just that kind of lawyer. I highly recommend her.
