My husband and I began our journey with Amy M. Wax in the year of 2013, April. My husband and I met with her to see if she would be able to escort my husband to his interview as a legal representative and translator because we had already started our I-130 Petition for Alien Relative on our own one year prior (which was a big mistake, because he had a deportation order out since from 2000). Amy assured us that she can handle our case and we felt very confident in working with her. It has been a very long and stressful journey and Amy was there through it all and stopped my husband from being deported which he was close to being but by the grace of God and Amy he has come back to us. It has been a long and rocky road and the Immigration system can be very complex and my advice is to not go at it alone. That is why we have professionals such as Amy and she as well as her excellent team (Paulo, Pedro, Sean & Melissa) have been my rock and shield and has given me hope. My husband has been now approved for his green card 2016, April and I can say that Today my husband and I as well as our beautiful daughter have been given another chance and we now have a future together to continue on in this life and build from the ground up. I can't Thank Amy enough for her help and support through this tumultuous journey.

I have worked with Amy since 2010. She helped me through threat of deportation to getting my green card, and now, citizenship. Maybe any lawyer can do that, but what's special about Amy is that she worked with me in "good faith" when I was a student and didn't have any money to pay her fees (sometimes I paid her $10 a month) until I graduated, got a job and paid her. Way to put humanity in often faceless and cruel processes that sometimes destroy lives. I 110% recommend Amy to anyone who needs an immigrations lawyer who is effective and a pleasure to work with.

We hired Amy "just in case" we might need her support in my wife's naturalization application. I was concerned about the distance, with Amy in Boston and us filing in DC. We had time constraints, and what could have been a disaster was handled very smoothly by Amy. She contacted the right people and orchestrated the process extremely well. I strongly recommend Amy on her professionalism, knowledge, honesty and trustworthiness.

Our journey to a permanent residency was highly complicated. We needed the J1 waiver of the Exchange Visitor Two-Year Home-Country Physical Presence Requirement rule, as well as facing a few other crucial obstacles. I met 6 Boston immigration lawyers before coming to Amy Wax, but I had a bad gut feeling about each of these - Some felt SO sleazy or impatient, didn't care in an honest way, and a few were so pessimistic which left me frightened. Amy was the most sensitive and smart from the very first minutes, relaxing and optimistic while very realistic and cautious and grounded. And clear. Since almost each lawyer expresses a different opinion I can not definitely say, looking back, that Amy was right and the most accurate. Then, she was reachable and willing to answer questions after the meeting as well. My gut feeling was clear, and we went with her. That was such a smart decision. Amy cracked every obstacle on the way so professionally, prepared our files and petitions, had the best creative solutions to problems, and always on time to apply as quick as possible to the next stage. The wonderful Paulo Silva at her office is a huge asset, he was always so smart and reachable and endlessly making an effort to help quickly.
Along the way I was exposed to the other sides of Amy's work, her involvement in important causes, and her academic work and teaching, which made me appreciate her even more.
I already sent a few friends and colleagues to Amy's firm for EB1, for Adjustment of status, and for just ordinary info-pass inquiries as well. Everyone is always so happy and thankful.

I don't have words to describe her professionalism, ethic and knowledge. I can describe her as the Angel that God sent to me to win my case, even against the other lawyers suggestions to give up and leave the country.
I will be grateful with Amy Wax always forever .... My Angel

Amy was the fifth attorney I worked with and of course was and will be the last one. I left all the previous ones to find a better one. Amy is the best. She is very smart, knows her stuff, and the best thing about here which is very very rare is honesty. She never gives you fake hope to charge you. She will frankly let you know if she can help you with your case or not. All the previous ones charged me a lot and didn't do anything. I am so sorry that I didn't know Amy before. Had I hired her from the beginning, I'm sure it made a big difference. I strongly recommend Amy to everyone who needs an immigration lawyer.

Extremely professional, thorough, knowledgeable with excellent interpersonal skills. It was a delight working with Amy. Thanks to her, my wife's application to become a US citizen was pain free.
Forever grateful... Thank you Amy!

I called Amy and had an appointment set right away. Amy was really nice and I really liked the fact that she was upfront and talked to me in a very honest and simple way. I hired Amy to help me with my wife's case (my wife got a green card from my citizenship). I had messed this up as i was trying to get this done myself. My wife was almost getting under deportation procedures becouse i had not filed a form. Amy helped us out, and did everything perfect, like everything was perfect. The immigration did not even required us for a interview, instead they just approved our case. Thank you Amy.
