It was a rather unique case, because we knew ahead of time that we need to spend a lot of time abroad during our 5-year physical presence requi...rement, and we were also worried about quiestions regarding our continued residency. It ended up being a 3 year affair, in which we consulted with Amy about every step of the process - how do we count the days for the 5 years? What do we need to do in advance to increase the chances we will pass the interview? How often do we need to be in the US to make sure we keep our residency... and so on. Amy was amazing. She patiently expalined all the risks of each step we take and gave helpful tips on avoiding hard questions. She told us which documents to obtain and when, and helped us assess where we stand at any part of the process. Both of our interviews were tough - a lot of hard questions, asking for more documents, putting us in very stressful positions of potentially having to fly back and forth several times for more interviews (during COVID!). But Amy didn't stress out, was assertive and helpful. Together, we were able to complete the interviews, including the additional documents, on the same day. All in all - this is what we were looking for - someone with the right advice and a helpful, optiomistic approach through a very stressful process. On my first consultation with Amy Wax I was very distressed, agitated and my "heart was weeping". After she reviewed the facts and documentation in my immigration case; she gave me TWO solutions. So I hired her. But she had only nine days to answer USCIS in Texas before removing procedures.
