Mahsa Khanbabai is founder of Khanbabai Immigration law and has dedicated her legal career to immigration issues, representing individual, nonprofit, educational and business clients. Her desire to help international students stems from her father’s experiences in the U.S. as a J1 medical resident from Iran and her own experience of applying for permanent residence and citizenship.

Attorney Khanbabai has been in practice for over 21 years and currently serves as an elected Director of American Immigration Lawyers Association Board of Governors. She holds a number of leadership positions including the prestigious Department of State Liaison Committee, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and AILA Law Journal board of editors. She is former chair of the AILA New England Chapter. She is a member of the International Medical Graduate Taskforce and authors an article on international medical graduates and the J-1 Waiver process for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education publication on Immigration Law and AILA's Waiver Handbook.

Locally, Attorney Khanbabai serves on the MetroSouth Chamber Executive Committee as Vice President Community Relations and the Easton Human Resources Board Chair. She is adjunct professor at Stonehill College teaching a course on Immigration Law.

One of the best attorneys!

I have dealt with many attorneys in my very complex, critical immigration issues. The only lawyer who was able to find a way out of the big mess I was in is Mahsa! I will never forget her hard work, sincere caring and the brilliant ideas she came up with. It's been years now since he helped me out (that was in 2019) but I'm still so grateful for her and her wonderful team.

Excellent Service and great Attorney

Mahsa is the best immigration attorney in Massachusetts in my humble opinion. I, as well as many of my colleagues, have done business with many law firms during the last 12 years, however, this office really stands out. Mahsa is extremely knowledgeable and she knows the spirit of the law not just the law. She is super attentive and responsive if you are tight on time or if your case is in an urgent status. Shirin, the paralegal I have done most of my transactions with, is extremely helpful and organized. I will always recommend them to anyone I know.

Wonderful experience

Attorney Khanbabai and team worked on obtaining my H1b visa and then subsequently her office also filed for the visa extension and the I-140 petition. It has been a pleasure to work with her and the team. The entire process went smoothly. She was always available to answer any questions or guidance needed during this entire period. Look No Further

Mahsa is knowledgeable, professional, kind, and empathetic. She assisted with my wife's application for a green card under very stressful circumstances and immediately helped us feel like we were in the best of care. After initially trying to file the application without help, we became very anxious when we received a request for information for a personal document that we were not able to obtain. Mahsa reviewed and discussed all our options in order to assure us that all was not doomed, and she even helped us to ultimately obtain the document so that the application could move forward. In addition, when it came to the interview, she made the process incredibly straightforward and was able to once again help us feel at ease during an otherwise stressful situation. Bottom line: Mahsa is not only a fantastic immigration lawyer but she is also a very friendly and caring person who will make sure that you are taken care of throughout the entire process. We have already reached out to her again for the green card renewal and I can't say enough positive things about our experience.

Just wonderful

An angel to our family, Mahsa is fantastic!

Mahsa and her team helped me with my permanent residence process and I cannot explain the gratitude my gusband and I feel for all that she has done. Throughout the whole process she guided us on the next steps, expained the intimidating paperwork process and followed up with us very diligently. She is the reason why we have a life here.

I was only a permanent resident and my fiancée (at the time) had only expiring work visa. Without Mahsa's guidance and wisdom, our lives would probably continued outside of US. However, thanks to her diligence, I now have a citizenship and now my wife has a green card. We are grateful for her human kindness yet, very professional practice. She and her whole team was patient, warm but very effective. Together we have shown results. No hiccups on the way. We are truly thankful for being able to meet her and work with her. Excellent immigration lawyer

Immigration law is highly specialized and finding an excellent lawyer in that field is not easy but attorney Khanbabai is truly exceptional - the best I have ever seen. Good professional help.

Ms. Khanbabai's office is very responsive. I have dealt with her office strictly by phone and email and they have never ignored any questions or requests that I had for them. The fees are not exorbitant and they work well. I am happy I contacted them.

Felt confident through her legal advice

Immigration

I have not worked with her so far, however, I made appointment 2 times and she canceled it 8pm night before. the secretory told me b/c she has a court day. usually you know your court date at least 3-7 day prior to the court day. base on my experience she is not responsible. maybe she goes a great job in her cases but treating with me, they had very bad attitude.
