Wassem M. Amin, is the Managing Director and Founder of Amin Legal Group LLP and the Managing Director of Amin Consulting LLC. Wassem has leveraged a U.S. Doctorate in Law and a Master’s in Business Administration into a professional business consulting and legal career that spans almost ten years throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and U.S. region.

Wassem serves as Chairman of the Middle East Division and Chairman of the International Commercial Transactions Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA). The ABA Section of International Law, which has more than 20,000 members in 90 countries, is the leader  in the development of policy in the international arena, the promotion of the rule of law, and the education of international law practitioners.  Wassem is also a Regent Board Member of the Immigration Division of the ABA.  As a business consultant, Wassem focused his efforts on procuring multi-million dollar contracts for American clients in the Middle East and vice versa.

Fluent in Arabic, Wassem’s extensive knowledge is built on first-hand experience of the financial, legal, and cultural nuances of the ’s intricate familiarity with Islamic Finance principles enables him to effectively structure and negotiate Shari’ah compliant financing and complex investment transactions. That, coupled with an established history of successful deals in the United States, allows him to provide clients with a wealth of expertise and know-how in sourcing and structuring complex cross-border transactions and investments.

Wassem earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from New England Law| graduated law school with a GPA of 3.81, ranking in the top 1% of his class. At New England Law, Wassem was an Editor of the New England Law Review and received the Trustee Academic Scholarship, awarded to the student with the highest cumulative GPA; the New England Scholar’s Award two years in a row; the CALI Awards for highest course grades in Law and Ethics of Lawyering, Entrepreneurship, and Securities Regulation; as well as the Dean’s List Award for all semesters. During his first and second year of Law School, Wassem participated in the American Bar Association Client Counseling Competition and received first place overall at New England both times. 

Wassem was also active in school organizations and is currently serving as the Vice President of the International Law Society at New England part of his pro bono initiatives, Wassem is working on establishing an international non-profit to aid in the reformation of his home country, Egypt. Wassem also has over ten years of experience in international business consulting, where he focused his efforts as a consultant on procuring and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts for American clients in the Middle East.

Wassem is fluent in Arabic and holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance.
