He provided us with an Irrevocable Trust, along with Wills, Power-of-Attorney, and Health Care documents, all for a reasonable fee. Tom is ea...sy to talk to, like chatting with a friend actually, but he takes his job seriously, asking all the right questions to get the raw data needed to complete his finished products. He listened attentively to our simplest questions, answering them directly and thoroughly (which hopefully wasn’t too painful for him as I’m sure he’s heard them numerous times). Tom has been extremely responsive and helpful to us through the estate planning process. The closest Elder Care Lawer is not necessarily the best. I live in Mashpee on Cape Cod, and after learning this costly lesson, I reached out to Mr. Marks. (He was recommended by two people, one being a schoolteacher and the other an attorney). From my first zoom call, Tom patiently walked me throu...gh what I needed to know. He is professional, knowledgeable, caring and filled with empathy. I tell everyone I know about him. My husband has Alzheimer’s; so much of what is happening to us out of our control. Tom’s knowledge and suggestions have made the path we are on easier to walk. I now know our home is protected, even if a nursing home is needed for my husband. Tom has assured us of that. He listed the facts that confirm why our home can never be used to pay for my husband’s care. (The lawyer before him had incorrectly told us that our home was 'at risk'.) Tom’s knowledge of the facts associated with Wills, Trusts and Elder Care Law has been a huge source of comfort to us. All but the final document signing was done via zoom. It’s my understanding that the final documents could have been done electronically as well. I chose to go to his Mansfield office for the signing as I wanted to thank him face to face. The whole process was made easier by having a knowledgeable lawyer who really enjoys helping others.
