I'm Damian Turco and I'm the principal lawyer and owner of Turco Legal, PC, a Massachusetts divorce and family law firm. Our main office is in Newburyport, but we regularly work and meet clients at our offices in Andover and Boston.
In addition to my experience in representing hundreds of clients through divorce and other custody cases, I'm very fortunate to have a great staff. The rest of the team consists of Attorney Kristin Sherman and Attorney Ursula Furi-Perry. We are all supported by our fantastic paralegal, Danielle Edwards.
I love handling these cases and getting my clients great results. Part of the challenge is that the subject matter is generally emotional. Another challenge is that the facts and legal issues can be complex, be it due to financial complexity or complicated parenting issues. Whatever your case involves, chances are that we have represented clients through similar facts.
We put a considerable amount of guidance and information on our website, particularly the blog, so if you're still trying to get educated, consider reading through our website and subscribing to our newsletter.
All in all, we have a very reasonably-minded and even keeled team. We review every case as a team every week, even if for only a brief minute. Having a team on your side presents the advantage that your case, the facts, the strategy, and every facet thereof, have been vetted from different perspectives, with different experiences and depth of knowledge. We have over 40 years of combined experience at the practice and we're here for you if you need us.
Before we end, I feel it's important to address our lower income pricing model, which lowers our pricing for those earning under $150,000 per year, with a teired pricing model, charging as little as $100 for attorney work. That compares to rates of $250/hour typical in Massachusetts for cases of this nature. Eighty percent of those with cases in probate and family court go unrepresented. Regardless of your financial condition, when it matters most, you deserve an attorney. Call us today for a free consultation. or complete a contact form on our website and we'll contact you back.

I engaged this law firm for my divorce after Damian Turco assured me that he had and his firm had many lawyers with forensic financial accounting expertise. This turned out to be disingenuous. Damian passed the case to an associate, Amanda Gnau who was very inattentive to my case and failed to commun...
I'm sorry for your experience. Amanda is an outstanding attorney, and I routinely receive positive feedback from her clients. I've seen her produce exemplary work product, but it may not have been the right match. I also apologize that it appears we did not effectively communicate our experience with complex financial matters. We manage financially complex legal issues very day, including the need to identify transactions that may have occurred with the intent to hide assets in anticipation of a divorce. Several of our team members have achieved Certified Financial Litigator status from the AACFL, but that does not qualify us to do forensic accounting. When there are allegations of fraudulent transfers of wealth, an assessment is conducted by the attorney as to whether a forensic accountant or other financial expert should be engaged to further investigate the allegations. There are sometimes cases in which a fraudulent transfer is a single transaction. In other cases, there may be allegations of an ongoing pattern of deception. While an expert may not be necessary to investigate a single transfer, it may be necessary to establish a pattern. The decision to engage an expert in such an instance involves a cost/benefit analysis and is the client's decision to be made with the help of our insights. We try to be clear about when we might need to engage a financial expert, in the retainer agreement and also in discussions regarding allegations involving financial complexity throughout the representation, but it does not appear as though we were successful in this instance. I'm happy to speak with you about this at your convenience. Thanks, Jutta.
