To Whom This May Concern,
It my pleasure to recommend Attorney Patrick Curley for any of your elder law/estate planning issues. Mr. Curley assisted my family when my father needed nursing home care. As an attorney, I did not feel competent to handle this very specialized area of law. I was impressed with Mr. Curley’s dedication to serving the elderly community. He has many years of experience dealing solely with elderly law and estate planning issues, and is a certified elder law attorney. I knew he would be the right attorney to help my family navigate through the challenging Medicaid application process.
I was highly impressed with Mr. Curley’s presentation upon first meeting him. He drove to the nursing home to meet my family due to my father’s immobility. He was friendly, compassionate, and empathetic. He patiently listened to my family’s concerns and helped formed a plan to meet my family’s goals and expectations. He provided zealous representation throughout our time together at an affordable price. He not only complied and submitted the Medicaid paperwork, but also worked with the nursing home during the period of transition from private pay to Medicaid benefits. After my father was approved, we determined that Mr. Curley saved our family over $100,000 in private pay nursing home costs.
Elder law and estate planning are complex areas of law. I was very impressed with the services that my family received from Mr. Curley. I will be sure to contact his office in the future if we ever encounter an elder law or estate planning issue again.

When my mom passed away, the MassHealth Estate Recovery Unit made a claim against my mom's estate for far more than the estate was worth. The estate consisted mainly of an old, small house. By the time the claim was made, I had already paid a great deal of money out of my own pocket expecting to get the money back when the house sold. When I explained the situation to the case worker for the claim, I was told that most of my expenses would not be allowed. I was going to lose a great deal of money. That is when I hired Patrick Curley. Patrick and his staff did an amazing job resolving the situation. He guided me in gathering the information that would best present my case and put together an impressive package for negotiating an agreement with the case worker. Patrick was easy to talk with and could be contacted easily. But most of all, he did an outstanding job. I highly recommend Patrick Curley.

My Mom and I had a very complicated case and were not at all sure how it would turn out. Well, we need not have worried. We could not have been in better hands than those of Patrick Curley, Lucy Budman and their staff. They were on top of things at all times, professional, reassuring, and absolutely comprehensive. We would recommend them to anyone seeking this type of legal counsel.

I came to Patrick Curley through a recommendation. I am an only child and had my 93 year old Mother living with me for the past 15 years. I had to place her in a specialized assisted living facility due to dementia. Her affairs were in disarray and she was in no position to shed any light on them. I contacted Patrick, filled out a detailed questionnaire and met with him. He had reviewed all my info and we went over it again together. He explained some options that would be available and beneficial to us. He was very empathetic and provided me with some peace of mind immediately. I went back again with my husband and Patrick reviewed a couple of plans he had crafted for us to follow and we decided on a course of action.
From then on, he helped me every step of the way. He took care of everything. He often called the hospitals and the assisted living facility to clarify situations. I emailed him very often for counsel and updates. I always heard back from him immediately and he always helped me with whatever needed to be done. My Mother passed away 7 months after she left our home and he was even in contact with the funeral parlor on my behalf. I told Patrick then and I will say it again - there is no way I could have gotten through this stressful experience without his help. My only regret is that we should have seen him earlier.

When my husband suddenly needed nursing home care, Patrick Curley helped me with asset protection and handled filling out and filing the forms for Mass Health. Patrick is very knowledgeable about Mass Health and is always aware of any changes in Mass Health laws. I believe most people think they have to "spend down" the money they may have saved for their retirement, but that is not always true. Patrick was able to protect my husband's IRA so that I will be able to continue living the way my husband had
planned. Some thought this couldn't be done, but Patrick succeeded and my husband's IRA was moved to my name. Patrick is an excellent lawyer and moves very quickly. He is confident in himself, and that helped me to feel everything would work out well, and it has. All of my questions were answered quickly and in a manner that I could understand. I am very thankful for his help and the help of his wonderful staff, Debbie, Lucy, and Lynne. I would highly recommend Patrick to anyone who needs help with nursing home plans for a loved one or estate planning. I always tell others I meet , in a similar situation as mine, about Patrick, and I hope they will reach out for his help. I'm glad I did.

My mother used Attorney Curley for estate planning and asset protection because we were no longer able to care for my father at home and had to put him in a nursing home. Attorney Curley and his staff were wonderful. They helped to protect assets for my mother and got everything in order for the nursing home. Attorney Curley and his Paralegal, Donna, were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about elder law. They answered every question I had along the way in a manner that someone who isn’t in the legal field could easily understand. I highly recommend Attorney Curley to anyone needing an elder law attorney.

I have recommended Patrick Curley and the Curley Law Firm to everyone that asks. I have used them for elder help for my aunt and my parents and thank God everyday that I found them. I did not know where to start and Patrick showed me exactly what I had to do. This made my job so much easier. In a very difficult time with difficult decisions to make my options were made clear to me with Patrick.

Thank you very much for all that you did to help navigate and advise our parents over the past several years. We really have appreciated working with you and value your expertise, advice, and understanding. Working with you was very helpful to me and my brother, especially, since we had to make many decisions on behalf of, with, or for my mom and dad. We will stay in touch and reach out to you if we need any advice about my dad in the future.

The Curley Law Firm was recommended to me by a woman with extensive knowledge and experience in the health care field, paricularly relating to elders. I had hired her as a consultant in order to assist our family sort thru a number of issues relating to the future care of my mother (age 100). During our meeting I asked her to recommend both a health care agency (for home care) and an elder law attorney for guidance with respect to my mother's current and future legal and financial needs, Both the health care agency and the law firm (Curley) recommendations provided by the consultant have turned out to be gems.
Pat Curley has been particularly helpful in assisting me thru the not-so-easy process of obtaining a "reverse mortgage" so that my mother is financially able to remain in her home. I have subsequently met with Pat in order to think thru and plan for possible outcomes in my mother's future. I would add, emphatically, that Pat conveys a sense of knowledge and self confidence.

I have used Patrick on two seperate matters and will continue to utalize his services as he and his staff are down to earth, friendly people who use everyday language so all the information he is conveying is clearly understood by someone who is not in the legal field.
